Super Mario Odyssey Will Run At 60 FPS On Nintendo Switch

Super Mario Odyssey

Developer and Publisher Nintendo’s game Super Mario Odyssey is one of the most anticipated games of 2017 which will be exclusively available only on Nintendo Switch. the company’s flagship title revealed a new trailer at the E3 in the recent and it was clearly one of the best game from Nintendo’s Conference. But Nintendo is not just creating another Mario Game they are making sure that it will only deliver the best gameplay experience.

Recently Eurogamer’s Digital Foundry got a chance to play 20 minutes of the game at the E3 event and according to their analysis report, they were both impressed and surprised at the performance of resource heavy game on a portable console.

According to the report, the game was running on constant 60 Frames Per Second and even after the game transition into the more populated environment like The Donk City Region which is more resource heavy the FPS only dropped a few times which is not really a big issue.

The 3D model in the game ate huge chunks of the resource so the devs of the game used an old trick in which the 3D models of the NPC which are far from Mario are rendered in 2D but when Mario comes near them the 2D model slowly fades away and gets replaced by a 3D model. pretty cool right?

The only real con of the game currently is that the resolution of the game is 720p but it is not the final. there is still 4 more months till the game releases and I am hoping that the team will manage to increase it from 720p to 1080p.

Lastly, if you want to play Mario I hope you own a Nintendo Switch and if don’t have one and are lucky enough to find one just buy it because there is a huge shortage of the hybrid console. according to an industry analyst, the shortage of switch will remain throughout the year 2017 due of the shortage of the components in the market.

Super Mario Odyssey will be released on 27 October 2017 exclusively for Nintendo Switch. for more information you can visit the official website.
