In Ghost Of Yotei, Atsu is out seeking revenge against the Yotei Six for slaughtering her family. The only mistake they made was leaving the small wolf to bear the brunt of the fang. Mastering each and every weapon on the battlefield, Atsu has returned to her hometown in order to hunt and kill the Yotei Six to avenge her family.

Atsu can wield and use various melee and ranged weapons. To collect and use all the weapons, we have compiled this detailed guide on where they are located and how to get them. The list of weapons also includes the starting weapon, which will be available from the start of the game.

All Melee & Ranged Weapons Location Guide For Ghost Of Yotei

Collect all 5 Melee weapons to unlock the trophy Tools of a Warrior. Similarly, collect all 4 Ranged weapons to unlock the trophy Take Aim.

Melee Weapons

Wolf Blade

Katana is a starting and all-around weapon that Atsu possesses from the start of the game. A masterpiece forged by Master Kengo to protect his family.

Dual Katana

Dual Katana will be unlocked after completing the main mission, i.e., story-related, The Way Of Dual Katana, at Yotei Trailhead. Search and locate the Dual Katana Master in Mount Yotei to get the Dual Katana.

Dual Katana allows Atsu to use the Dual Katana Stance, which is used to counter spears and naginatas. Complete the Mythic tale, Takezo the Unrivaled at Yotei Grasslands to unlock the Takezo Dual Slash.

Odachi

Odachi is a weapon that can be unlocked by completing the main story, The Saito Brothers. Find and reach Master Yoshido’s Dojo in the Tokachi Range. Complete Master Yoshido’s objective to get Odachi as a reward. Additionally, complete more objectives or tasks as requested by Master Yoshida to unlock Mountain Breaker.

Odachi allows Atsu to use the Bulwark Stance, which is used to block all regular attacks and push back to stun enemies when it is released.

Yari

To unlock Yari, follow the ONI storyline and unlock the explorable region, the Ishikari Plain. After advancing to the Matsumi checkpoint on The Road To Ishikari Plain, the Yari Master will be marked on your map in Modaiwa Island.

Complete the tasks or objective to get the long spear that can be used to interrupt and knock down enemies. The Yari spirit, or the Thundering Wave, can be unlocked after revisiting and completing the Yari’s Fury.

Kusarigama

It is a missable weapon if you have not visited Master Enomoto at Owl Mountain and completed his mission tale at Teshio Ridge. The task are straight forward which allows you to unlock Kusarigama. Complete another mission of your Sensei to unlock Claw and Talon spirit attack as well.

Kusarigama is used to break the heavy shield and control the crowd with both short and long-wielding blades.

Ranged Weapons

Hankyu (Medium Bow)

The Hankyu can be purchased from Ran The Bowyer in Yotei’s Shadow Inn at Yotei Grasslands.

Yumi (Longbow)

The Yumi can be purchased from Ran The Bowyer, in Yotei’s Shadow Inn at Yotei Grasslands.

Tanegashima

The Tanegashima rifle can be unlocked by following the Saito Brothers main tale.

Scorch Bomb

The Scorch Bombs can be unlocked in Ishikari Plain after completing the Sensei Tale, The Bomb Maker.

To locate Ina The Bomb Maker, go to Ishikari Plain at Fire Cricket Canyon, i.e., close to Otaru Hills. Squeeze through the barricade and defeat the Raiders to talk to the sensei.
