In Silent Hill F, Hinako will find herself alone yet again in the thick fog and huge field. Upon advancing and exploring, she will notice a scarecrow accompanied by numerous scarecrows who are dressed as school kids. Among these scarecrows, all are monsters except the one whom we need to find. Brawling is not an option as Hinako has to consider her weapon durability. Therefore, to pass through the field would be to solve the puzzle without any fight.

According to the Mysterious Note, which is a hint at how the scarecrow puzzle works. You are required to examine the scarecrows who are in different postures. Examine and pull the thorn out from those scarecrows. The scarecrow will then move and reveal the direction you need to move next.

Puzzle 1

Hint: Can you even imagine how I feel? I’ll put on my polite smile for now.

Solution: Search for the lady scarecrow whose face will have a large smile. Interact and examine its dress to pull out the thorn.

Puzzle 2

Hint: Can you even imagine how I feel? What it’s like to have been deceived by you for so long?

Solution: Search for the lady scarecrow who has been backstabbed by a sickle. Examine and pull out the thorn, i.e., placed under the left shoulder.

Puzzle 3

Hint: Can you even imagine how I feel? He never once looked at me the way he looked at you. Not once.

Solution: Interact with the lady scarecrow who is at the corner looking at a boy but no boys scarecrow are facing her. Examine and pull out the thorn, i.e., placed in the navel.

Puzzle 4

Hint: Can you even imagine how I feel? You’ve always been such an eyesore.

Solution: Interact with the lady scarecrow who is getting most of the gazes from other scarecrows, i.e., the right corner one.

Puzzle 5

Hint: Can you even imagine how I feel? You hurt me, and even hurt him, too. Do you know how it feels to force a smile when I’m staring at that disgusting face of yours?!

Solution: Interact with the lady scarecrow, who is backstabbed and looking down. Located at the back side of the pack, where three lady scarecrows are in line.
