Dying Light The Beast – Optimize Performance, & Fix FPS Drop
Dying Light The Beast is an open-world horror survival game. The zombie-infested world has very few survivors who are still working hard to increase their safety and strengthen their Outposts. Kyle Crane, who has a mission to take revenge, must get his strength back by defeating and injecting the virus from Chimera to take advantage of his half-beast attribute gained from the brutal experiment in the lab.
Apart from the Volatile, the game starts leaking memory, and the FPS starts to drop as you progress through the game. Players ranging from the low to high range, according to the minimum to maximum requirement, are experiencing FPS drops and stuttering. So, how do we fix the FPS drop and Stutter issue?
Optimize Performance, Stutter, And FPS Drop Issue Fix For Dying Light The Beast?
There are various settings that can be tweaked in order to fix the FPS drop and increase the performance of your game to run seamlessly. The Game and Windows need to be optimized for better FPS. However, these settings will not ruin your Visual graphics settings and the game will still feel good.
Window Settings
- Go to Gaming.
- Go to Game Bar.
- Turn OFF, Allow your controller to open Game Bar.
2. Go to Gaming.
- Go to Game Mode.
- Turn ON, Optimize your PC for play by turning things off in the background.
3. Go to Personalization.
- Go to Colors.
- Turn Off the Transparency Effects.
4. Go to System.
- Go to Display.
- Go to Graphics.
- Turn ON, Optimization for windowed games.
Defragmentation
- Search and enter Defragment and Optimize Drives.
- Click on Analyze and Optimize each Drives.
- Finally Close the application.
Steam Game Settings
- Right-click on the game in the Library.
- Click Manage and go to Browse Local Files.
Select the path:
—–> ph_ft —–> work —–> bin —–> x64
Under the x64 folder, there will be application file of the game.
Copy the directory at the top bar and go to windows:
Settings —> System —> Display —> Graphics
- click on Add Desktop app.
- Paste the copied directory to add DyingLightGame_TheBeast_x64_rwdi.exe file.
Once it’s added, select the DyingLightGame_TheBeast_x64_rwdi.exe file and set the GPU preference to High Performance.
In-Game Settings
Go to the Options and on the Game Tab, change these settings:
- Turn Off Asus Aura Sync.
Go to Video Tab:
- Turn Off VSync.
- Turn Off Dynamic Resolution Scaling.
- Turn Off FPS Limter.
- Change Upscaler Type to DLSS (Nvidia) or FSR (AMD) for respective graphics card.
- Upscaling Mode can be set to Quality or Balanced mode.
- Set Latency Reduction to Reflex + Boost.
- Change theĀ Frame Gen to FSR.
Press F to enter Advanced Video Settings.
- Turn OFF, Light Streaks option.
- Choose, Renderer Mode to DirectX 12.
- Turn ON, Asynchoronus Compute option.
- Set Texture Quality to Medium.
- Set Draw Distance Multiplier to 100.
- Set Particles Quality to Low.
- Set Shadows Quality to Very Low.
- Set Screen Space Shadows to OFF.
- Set Ambient Occlusion Quality to None.
- Set Global Illumination Quality to Low.
- Set Reflections Quality to Low or Medium.
- Set Fog Quality to Low.
