How To Change Or Edit Perk Icon And Get Custom Perk Image For Dead by Daylight?
To change your original perk icons, you are required to locate where the perk files or icons are installed in the game folder.
Go to following directory;
Local Disk C —–> Program Files (x86) —–> Steam —–> Steamapps —–> Common —–> Dead By Daylight —–> DeadByDaylight —–> Content —–> UI —–> Icons —–> Perks
To get the custom Perk icons, you can go to the Nightlight.gg and download the packs that are showcased. Replace the original perk icons with the downloaded custom perk icons.
Otherwise, you can create your own masterpiece in the Paint and customize it to Perk icons. To make it work, the custom perk icons name should be the same as of the original perk for example:

Can You Get Banned For Using Custom Perks?
It should be safe as there are still no issues to any streamer or players who are using the packs or using custom perk icons. The files that are getting modified are image file only. Therefore, it is hard to be detected by the anti-cheat.
They are not manually banning any players, however if the Easy Anti-Cheat detects this and ban you then they might not be able to assist you. EAC focuses on banning third-party tools that grant unfair advantage to the players. If it is not the case where you are not granted any advantages during the gameplay then the risk of getting flagged by the anti-cheat is none.
The chance of getting banned is relatively very low which is similar to the chance of unhooking yourself without any luck. Behaviour do not want to ban you first until you get flagged by EAC.
Conclusion: The EAC is not perfect and they are still updating to fight the third-party tools. It would be better to keep a proof that the only modification done on the game file is at the image file for custom perks. At least if your account gets flagged then you will have an evidence for EAC before contacting the developers.
There has been no instances or report of getting banned for using custom perk icons so far. Hope, that the game still remains fun and allow players to have a workshop to share their creation.
