In Tainted Grail: The Fall Of Avalon the quest “As Good As Gold” will be obtained after talking to Elaine in Ron’s Tavern. The quest requires you to get Elaine’s necklace which was a gift from Lady Kincaid. The necklace was broken therefore she entrusted it to the blacksmith named Osbryht. However the repairing requires precision, skills and tools. Therefore, you are required to find the Master Goldsmith in order to fix the necklace.

In the Horns Of The South, if you go to the marked location near the village, there will be bunch of NPCs. You need to find the NPC named Ellis who looks like the image provided below.
Talk to him and listed to his tale. Choose the dialogue option, “I might have a job for you. Do you think you could repair this? Give: Elaine’s Necklace x1“.
Ellis will repair Elaine’s Necklace which can be delivered to Elaine who will be sitting in Ron’s Tavern. Though Ellis didn’t wanted any payment for the job, you can go to the Quartermaster Fearghas and give him the recommendation letter obtained from Elaine. This will make Ellis the blacksmith’s apprentice.
