Rainbow Six Siege – Unable To Play Ranked, Rank Locked?

Rainbow Six Siege

Tom Clancy Rainbow Six Siege (R6) is a 5v5 first-person tactical shooter game where players battle their wits and reflexes against the best in a tense environment. Most players who play regularly each season have a grasp of the strategies and site setups that do not hinder any of their teammates. Players who return to the game might notice that they cannot hop into the Ranked due to some condition, i.e., not satisfied.

What are the conditions? As the game clearly does not say what to do even if players might have more than Level 50+. Level 50 is a threshold that all new players have to reach in order to play ranked as they learn each and every game. It is reasonable that Ubisoft does not allow players under Level 50 to play Ranked, but what about the players who have more hours and Level but are still unable to play Ranked? How do you play ranked with your friends and solo as a returning player?

Why Are We Not Able To Play Ranked, Or Why Is It Locked In Rainbow Six Siege?

Players who are at Level 50+ are unable to play Ranked when they return after more than 1 season or 2. Ranked gameplay is more competitive and sweaty compared to Standard and Quick Matches; therefore, everyone wants to plug in and get into the Ranked experience. However, being absent from the battlefield for more than 1 Season prevents the players from playing Ranked directly. Therefore, it is locked.

To unlock the Ranked, returning players need to play and win 5 Standard or Quick Matches successfully. They need time to adjust their gameplay due to ever-changing strategies, new Operators, and lineups. To not grief their teammates’ Ranked experience, Ubisoft does not allow players to immediately log in and ruin their fun or grind where everyone starts from Copper V and climb to the Champion.
