Monster Hunter Wilds – How To Add & Play With Friends Co-Op?
Players who are starting Monster Hunter Wilds might get overwhelmed from all the informations and get confused until they get used to all the settings. In hope of simplifying everything, we have written this guide for those who want to play co-op with friends and enjoy hunting monsters in a lobby together.
How To Play With Friends Co-Op In Monster Hunter Wilds?
First and foremost, you and your friend need to complete the prologue and return back to the base camp. Talk to the NPCs, visit your tent and at some instance the multiplayer will be unlocked.
Important Setting?
Players from all platform can join and play together, for that both you and your friends need to enable the crossplay under the settings. Usually it is enabled by default. If it is disable, you can go to:
- Go to Main Menu.
- Click Options.
- Under Game Settings.
- Crossplay —–> Enable.
Create And Join Private Lobby
To create a Private Lobby and let your friends join in the Lobby, follow these steps:
- Go to Main Menu.
- Start the Game.
- Select your Hunter.
- Select Private Lobby.
Or
- Talk to Alma (in-game)
- Change Lobby Menu.
- Select Private Lobby to create a private lobby.
Where Is The Lobby ID Code?
Once the Private Lobby is created, you can share the Lobby ID code i.e. found under “Member List“. The Member List is located in the 4th Tab Communication. Share the code with your friends to let them join.
Friends can enter the Lobby ID at Lobby Search section.
How To Add Friends?
Once your friends have joined the lobby, you can add them as a Hunter Friend that works for all platform. After adding them as a Hunter Friend, they can join your Lobby whenever it is available.
The status of your Hunter Friends can also be displayed in the Player List. Now, all i.e. left would be create a Quest by talking to Alma and select the Lobby Member Quests. Depart it with your Lobby and enjoy hunting.
