Monster Hunter Wilds – How To Upgrade Armor, & Weapons
In a Monster Hunter Wilds, you will encounter and slay countless monsters on your way to complete the Assignments and quests. The only one thing that will assist you throughout the journey, along with Palico, would be your gears or equipment. Weapons upgrade will be available from the beginning once you complete the Prologue. You can visit Smithy, which is owned by Gemma. However, upgrading Armor is a whole new task, which we will explain everything about in this guide.
How To Upgrade Armor In Monster Hunter Wilds?
Curiously, when we have entered the Smithy and started to forge weapons or upgrade it, we must have selected other options and gone to Forge/Upgrade Weapons, obviously. The first question arises, is how to upgrade the armor as it is not available from the beginning, unlike the weapon.
Upgrade Armor is unlocked after you have completed the main quest Chapter 2 – 1 Toward Fervent Fields. Once the quest is completed, Gemma will ask you to visit the Base Camp and talk to her in order to upgrade the armor and craft Talisman.
Once you have unlocked the armor upgrade function, you will require special material to upgrade armor, i.e. Armor Spheres. There are four rarities of Armor Spheres, i.e.
- Armor Sphere
- Armor Sphere+
- Advanced Armor Sphere
- Hard Armor Sphere
How To Get Armor Sphere?
Armor Sphere can be obtained from defeating the Monsters in Optional Quests or even at Story Missions. Furthermore, once you have unlocked the Smelting Foundry in Oilwell Basin, you will be able to trade monster materials for Armor Spheres.
How To Upgrade Weapon?
To upgrade a weapon, you will need to have a basic or earlier version of the weapon according to the tree. Furthermore, you also require money and materials to upgrade a weapon. Initially, the weapon upgrade is unlocked from the beginning of the game, however, the rarities will unlock as you progress through the game. The maximum rarity of the weapon is 7.
