Phasmophobia – 0 Evidence Guide To Find All Ghost Type

PhasmophobiaIn Phasmophobia there are too many ghost types and deducing them without evidence is such a pain. With no proper equipment setup and the ghost continuously hunting the players after a small break makes it one of the most difficult tasks. Players can’t even catch their breath in Phasmophobia and can only opt to hide from the ghost until the hunt ends when their Sanity goes down.

However, hope is not lost as these ghosts can still be identified after deducing the ghosts one by one without any evidence. Each ghost has unique abilities and exhibits certain behaviors. The veterans who have faced them countless times learned a trick or two when they meet again on different maps. Their interactions with the surroundings and hunt patterns give away their identity. So, in this Phasmophobia guide, we have written how you can get the ghost type correctly without having any evidence about the ghosts.

0 Evidence Guide To Find All Ghost Types in Phasmophobia

The ghost hunt mostly starts when the Sanity reaches 50%. Considering that the Sanity is at 0% from the beginning, then imagine how aggressive the ghosts would be. Performing any absurd challenge where you start investigating at 0 Sanity, do not worry we have your back. Let’s learn each ghost’s unique behaviors in Phasmophobia.

All Ghosts Unique Behaviours In Phasmophobia

Spirit

Spirit stops hunting for 3 minutes when the Incense Stick is ignited at close proximity during the Hunt. The objective: Cleanse the area near the ghost using Incense is helpful during this situation as it makes it known whether the area was cleansed or not.

Unlike other ghosts that start hunting after 1 minute 30 seconds, if the Hunt phase has a great pause, then it is most likely a Spirit.

Note: If the ghost starts hunting at 1 minute then the effect of Incense Stick was not applied successfully.

Wraith

Wraith has a unique trait as it will never step on salt. The Wraith can instantly teleport to any player and start the hunt which makes it quite lethal.

Phantom

Phantom ghost bodies stay invisible for a longer duration compared to others as they flicker every 3 or 2 times in a second.

Click a photo of the ghost and if the ghost is invisible when the Journal says that it is a ghost photo, then it is a Phantom.

Poltergeist

Poltergeist throws an item every second or a half during the hunt. It is more frequent and aggressive compared to other ghosts.

Banshee

Banshee targets a single player from the beginning to the end with tunnel vision until he is killed or disconnected. Then Banshee will switch the target.

Banshee has a unique scream that can be heard from the Parabolic Microphone. Additionally, Banshee loves to sing more frequently.

Jinn

Jinn has the ability to Turn ON the light on any room to break the Circuit Breaker/Power Box. If a player’s Sanity is decreased by 25% and near the Power Box it has an EMF 2 or 5 then it is the work of Jinn.

If the Fuse is turned ON then the walk speed of the ghost is 2.5 meters per second. However, if it enters the line of sight of the player then the speed will decrease to normal 1.7 meters per second. However, if the Fuse is turned OFF then the speed will be at normal 1.7 meters per second.

Mare

If the circuit breaker is ON and accidentally any room light is turned ON then rule out Mare as the ghost loves darkness. The turned ON light will be switched OFF frequently when Mare is involved. Even the light i.e. turned ON at the moment can be turned OFF instantly indicating that it can be Mare.

Sometimes Mare will walk away from the room that has lights ON and go to a darker room. Events that include light bulb shattering or breaking occurs usually when Mare is involved. Still, it’s not wise to blame Mare for the event as it can be other ghosts; however, there is a high chance that it can be Mare.

Revenant

The unique ability of Revenant is his initial walk or hunt speed is slow i.e. 1 meter per second. However, once he spots any player or any player comes in the line of sight then his speed will be increased to 3 meters per second.

Additionally, turn OFF the microphone or any electronic equipment that can be used by Revenant to track players. Abruptly slowing down the ghost’s speed due to breaking the line of sight can indicate the ghost is a Revenant.

Shade

Shade is a shy ghost and will not perform any Ghost Writing or Events when a player is in the proximity of the room or when he is inside the room. The Shade has a higher chance of being seen as a shadow instead of its Ghost Model due to its shy nature while performing an Event.

Shade will not start a hunt when two or more players are in the same room with the ghost. However, Shade can walk out of the room and start the hunt.

Demon

Demon can start hunting at any Sanity which makes it easier to deduce, unlike other ghosts who start hunting when the Sanity reaches 50%. After surviving a hunt, another hunt can start after 20 seconds when Demon is involved whereas the next hunting time should have been 25 seconds.

Smudge the Demon and if the next hunt begins at 60 seconds instead of 90 seconds then he is got caught in action. Additionally, if you use the Crucifix against the Demon; then the Crucifix is more efficient. The range of the Crucifix will increase by 50%.

Yurei

Yurei can decrease 15% of the Sanity of the players when the players are within a 7.5-meter radius.

The unique behavior of Yurei is that the ghost loves to close the door completely when it is fully opened. Yurei can also close the entrance door even if there is no ghost event is ongoing.

Oni

Oni cannot perform the white airball event which makes it easier to cross it out. However, Oni is a much more active ghost. If there are more players in a room then the number of events observed and experienced is absurd. The Oni event drains the Sanity level of a player by 20%.

Another unique trait of the Oni is his ghost model is clear and more visible during the hunt as it flickers a low amount of time.

Yokai

Yokai is sensitive to voice, therefore if you use In-game voice chat repeatedly then it will start the hunt quickly before the Sanity drops to 50%.

Similarly, if you use Spirit box the Yokai will respond immediately. However, during hunt, the detection of electronic equipment and voice-hearing is reduced to 2.5 meters only whereas the normal range is 7.5 meters and 7 meters respectively.

Hantu

Hantu walks faster when the surroundings are cold. The unique behavior of Hantu is during the hunt when the Power is OFF, players can see the ghost model breathing out cold air. Hantu movement speed is normal and does not accelerate when it comes in line of sight.

If the ghost switches ON the light then it cannot be Hantu as it loves cold. Turning the light ON will increase the room temperature.

Goryo

Goryo is hard to deduce without any evidence. Goryo has a unique ability where players cannot see the ghost DOT with their naked eyes. However, if you are looking through the camera then the ghost DOT will become visible.

The toughest part is that Goryo will not show in DOT when any player is in the same room with a ghost. Therefore, setting up the video cameras and watching it from outside the room and van is the only option.

Myling

Myling has a muffled and indistinct footstep in Phasmophobia. The audible footstep range is also lower i.e. 12 meters unlike the usual range i.e. 20 meters.

The flashlight will flicker strictly when Myling’s footstep gets audible. The condition only applies when Myling is on the same floor. If it is on top floor and the footstep is audible, the light will not flicker.

Onryo

Onryo hates any type of fire source. The easiest way to deduce Onryo is to place the Crucifix and 3 candles in the ghost room. The fire or candle will take priority over the Crucifix which confirms that it is Onryo.

Similarly, if the hunt is going on without blowing the candles out then it cannot be Onryo.

The Twins

Twins is a single entity but has a unique disorder in Phasmophobia. The walk or hunt speed can be altered randomly during the hunt by the Twins. The movement speed of the slow Twins to 1.53 meters per second whereas the fast Twins has a speed of 1.87 meters per second.

Twins can interact with objects nearby as well as far objects i.e. at 3 meters and 16 meters threshold respectively. 3 meters is a normal range for the ghost whereas 16 meters threshold is only unique to twins. Twins have a 50% chance to start the hunt from the ghost room or the last interacted object.

Raiju

Raiju’s hunt speed is faster when it is near the electronic equipment including the flashlight. The hunt or walk speed reduces when it gets away from the electronic equipment.

Obake

Obake can shape-shift his ghost model at least once per hunt which gives away its identity in Phasmophobia.

As a master of shapeshifting, sometimes Obake can leave a fingerprint of 6 fingers. It can be overridden if Obake interacts with the object again which will remove the previous fingerprint and turn it into 5 fingers. It’s random so make sure to look out for that.

Mimic

Mimic is a jack of all trades. Mimic has the ability to copy all the unique behaviors and abilities of other ghosts which means it can hunt like Deogen, throw objects like Poltergeist, or shapeshift like Obake.

If the ghost is confusing you and acting pretty suspiciously then always check for the Mimic.

Moroi

Moroi is the fastest ghost among the bunch. The speed increases depending on the Sanity of a player.

The Smudge stick blinds the Moroi for at least 7.5 seconds instead of 5 seconds which is considered to be normal.

Moroi can curse players through a Spirit Box and Parabolic Microphone which drains the Sanity at double speed.

Deogen

The move speed is good when Deogen is far away from the player i.e. 3 meters per second. However, when it gets closer to a player, the movement speed decreases gradually and to such an extent that even any player can outrun or outwalk the ghost easily.

Hiding is futile against Deogen as it always knows your location in Phasmophobia.

Deogen has a special ability to answer any question when asked through the Spirit Box at close proximity of 1 meter.

Thaye

Thaye is a special ghost that can age. If any player stays in the ghost room for 1 or 2 minutes then they will age. The Thaye can age up to 10 times and each aging event will sap their movement speed. Therefore Thaye will get aggressive whenever any player enters the room.

The hunt for the youngest Thaye can begin at 75% Sanity whereas the hunt for the eldest Thaye can begin at 15% Sanity. As mentioned Thaye can age up to 10 times which means whenever they age once, the Sanity decreases to a 6% threshold which determines their inconsistent hunting phase.

The young Thaye has the maximum movement speed of 2.75 meters per second whereas the oldest Thaye has the maximum movement speed of 1 meter per second.

The aging is visible during the hunt phase. The ghost model will age from young to an elderly person of the same sex. If you obtain the Ouija Board, ask the age of the ghost and stay in the ghost room. After a few minutes ask their age and watch how the age changes.

Another unique trait of Thaye is that they do not speed up when they come in the line of sight of players.
