Impact, Clash Controls, Or Power Struggle Guide On Dragon Ball Sparking Zero
One thing i.e. common in all the clashes or Impacts are Boost button. Boost allows you to generate more power obviously at the expense of depleting your Ki meter. The maximum amount of Boost, you can use is 3, meaning 3 Ki meters will be depleted.
However, if you don’t have a sufficient Ki meter; your character will be stunned or go into fatigue depending on how many additional Boosts / Ki meters are used. During this brief moment, you cannot control your character which will allow your opponent to recover and start attacking you with guaranteed hits.
To recover quickly from the fatigue or stunned state, simply mash all the buttons on your controller.
Speed Impact
Speed Impact or Speed Clash occurs when both players Dragon Dash at each other. Now there will be a small minigame or Quick Time Event that will appear on the screen.
During Speed Impact, there are two phases. The first phase as shown in the image above allows you to wait and press the button when it reaches the center. If the circle is closer to the center, a higher attack speed will be generated in the second phase.
The second phase as shown in the image is pure button mashing. Spam a single button i.e. “X” on the Xbox controller and “Square” on the PS controller. The more buttons you press, the higher your chance to win the clash.
For Classic Control, during the first phase press “Square” on the PS controller and “X” on the Xbox controller whereas in the second phase, you will need to rotate the analog stick.
Power Impact
Power Impact or Power Clash occurs when both characters go for grabs at the same time.
Press and Hold the shown button i.e. “X” on the Xbox controller and “Square” on the PS controller. Build up the meter next to or close to the line or marker. Whoever gathers more Ki or builds up more energy wins the clash.
Crash Impact
Crash Impact occurs when both characters use Step at the same time in close proximity. Then the Quick Time Event will begin where all you need is to enter the input shown on your screen as quickly as possible.
If both of the players have not messed up the input or failed by any means, then the one who pressed the button fastest will win. Out of 3, you will need to win 2 inputs or Quick Time Event. The winner of each input will be shown at the end of the inputs by a small flash of light followed by the indicator.
Blast Impact
Blast Impact occurs when both characters use their Beam or Blast ability at the same time. This will trigger a power struggle where you will need to build up the energy meter by holding the “Triangle” button on the PS controller instead of mashing. Keep it close to the line or marker to produce maximum energy output during the Clash.
