Best Advanced Tips & Guide That You Didn’t Know About Dragon Ball Sparking Zero

1. Ki Charge Buff

If you knew how to deflect the beam using Perception then you are a gamer. But did you know that if you deflect the beam or Super Blast, you get a Ki charge buff? This means that if you charge your Ki, it will go up very quickly when your Buff is active.

2. Ki Charge Speed Variation

Did you know that the Ki charging speed varies? If you are underwater, the accumulation or Ki charging speed is very low, unlike when you are on the ground or air.

3. Health Bars

It is better to quantify the health when you can see how much damage your combo dealt. Each Health Bar is 10k or 10,000 HP.

4. Sparking Mode

When you go into the Sparking Mode, there is enough time to close distance and do devastating damage with your combos. Instead, we have seen players simply go into Sparking Mode and perform their Ultimate instantly.

Sparking Mode has a timer that goes down slowly. If you perform your Ultimate ability, then the Sparking Mode will end abruptly. Therefore, you can opt to use the Ultimate when the timer is low or when you have created an opening to connect with the combos, which is by far the most efficient way of utilizing Sparking Mode.

You can even let your opponent guess that an Ultimate is coming, to play with their mind. This will allow players to be wary of your Ultimate when you can use it as a tool to style them with pure combos.

5. Replay

The game has an in-game replay system that allows everyone to watch their match. Each Loss will take you one step forward if you often watch your Replay to notice how your Opponent played in certain situations.

This also allows you to see your mistakes and how you can react to certain scenarios. All the Pros watch their Replay to improve and learn. So, if you want to improve then keep a good habit of watching certain matches to reset your mind and gather intels.

6. Gimme My Money

If you have purchased any Characters or Characters Outfit from the Shop and later unlock it via missions then you will get your Zeni back. This allows you to shop without any thought as you are getting your money back.

7. Fighting Style

Ki or Charge is one of the most important features in the game. All the moves or powerful moves require some amount of Ki to perform. Therefore, whenever you get a chance, keep your Charge or Ki high.

You can knock down the opponent which will give you plenty of time to charge and start your pressure or offense again. Knocking down your opponent is better when you want to enter the Sparking Mode as they can’t interrupt you when you charge endlessly.

8. Offensive Stance

Performing long combo chains is quite flashy and cool, however, if your opponent is of the same or higher level, it can be easily countered. Therefore, you can either go for the mixups and optimal combos that have the same or higher damage output.

Performing a small combo that has a damage output of 10k and a large combo that has the same damage output of 10k achieve more or less the same thing. So, choose the efficient and optimal route where an opponent has fewer options to counter and make it out alive.

Strategically, you can force your opponent to use their resources if they don’t want to get punished by your huge combo strings. All it comes down to how much resources you are consuming to inflict damage, and how much you have in store. The higher Skill Counter means you have a better chance to win.

9. Ki Blast

This is another tool to annoy your opponent as you can interrupt them from charging and closing distance. Even during combos, you can include Ki blasts to stagger and extend the combos for more efficiency.

Use Ki blasts to let your Opponent get wary about it. This will allow you to play with your food and give them all types of information and attack patterns to worry about. Ultimately a slip-up or opening will be created where you can punish them by depleting 2 bar instantly. This is all made possible because of simple Ki blasts!

Note: Broly or Giant characters do not get staggered or interrupted when they do not block Ki Blasts. However, the Ki blast still does the same damage to them if unblocked.

10. Type Of Blasts Or Beam

There are two types of Blasts or Beam. The first is Piercing Blasts and the second is the non-piercing Blasts. The piercing blast is what it sounds, it can pierce and destroy the building whereas the non-piercing blast will only destroy the building.

Knowing this will improve your matchup against certain characters for example: Frieza who has Death Beam which is a non-piercing blast. So, you can hide behind the building and sneak in a Ki-Charge or two.

11. Blast Break Or Beam Clash

Players often make the common mistake of tapping quickly to build the bar whenever the Beam clashes. This does not store enough energy in your Kamehameha. Instead, press and hold the shown button to build up the energy.

Be careful, if you use Boost and unlock more slots to build up more energy, then make sure that you do not overextend to win the clash as your character will get tired or stunned for a while.

12. Dragon Dash/Rush

Hold Ki Charge and double tap the Step or Short Dash button which is “X” on the PS5 controller or “A” on the Xbox controller. This will instantly close the gap and reach your opponent’s location to create instant pressure and open up their guard.

Note: Do not give any directional input.

13. Giant Killer

Giants are one of the painful opponents in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero. They do not feel pain or get staggered unless you have certain damage or power threshold. Such as characters under Super Saiyan 3 Power Level will not be able to stagger the Giants. Beerus, Jiren, and Kid Buu are strong so each of their attacks staggers the Giant Ape as they are above the SSJ3 power level.

14. Android Is S-Tier

Androids are S-Tier or a minimum of A-Tier characters due to how they can stay engaged in combat with no worry of Ki charge. They have auto charging Ki ability which builds up their meter when they stay in the offensive end. Therefore, whether the opponents charge at you and you have mastered Sonic Sway then imagine, you are chipping their Ki charge whereas your Ki charge stays at max.

The opponent will most likely look to disengage in order to replenish their Ki. Imagine a relentless robot who no matter what keeps on charging at you offensively, not giving you an ounce of space or time to breathe is much more annoying than anyone.

15. Know Your Buffs?

Ever wondered what are the small buff icons under your Health bar that pop up whenever you use an ability or perform specific actions? Well, to learn about it in detail; do the following:

  • Pause the Game.
  • Select Explanation of Controls.
  • Select the skill and read the information written on the right side to learn about the buffs.

This allows you to approach the game from a more strategic point of view rather than just brawl mindlessly.
