Game Not Loading, Black Screen Or Crashing Fix For Warhammer 40k Space Marine 2

If the game is not loading or crashing in the first cutscene, then follow these steps:

  1. Make sure you have installed the game in SSD.
  2. Disable the Steam Overlay.
  3. Verify the Integrity of the game files.
  4. Check for Windows Update and Restart if it’s necessary.
  5. Check for your GPU driver update.
  6. Check whether your game is using your GPU or Integrated graphics.
How To Check?

Open the Task Manager and click More Details to check on the Processes Tab whether CPU or GPU is making the game run.

If it’s CPU, then change it to GPU; here’s how!

  1. Press the Window icon or Start icon and enter “Graphics Settings“.
  2. Under Graphics Performance Preference, select Desktop app as a preference.
  3. If the app is not shown then Browse and locate the file.
  4. Add the file.
  5. Once it’s added, click on the Options
  6. Select High Performance and Save.

If it’s GPU, then proceed to the next step below:

  1. Run the game as an Administrator.
  2. Open the Task Manager
  3. Go to the Details Tab
  4. Select the .exe file of the game and set it to the highest priority i.e. Realtime or maybe High.

Next step:

  1. If you have an AntiVirus running in the background, make sure that you create an exception or whitelist it from scanning it.
  2. If you do not have Anti Virus then make sure that the Windows Defender is not scanning and blocking the important files.

This has solved the issue for us at least and currently, there is a new glitch where characters, enemies, and allies are invisible. We are looking for the fix as it is making the game unplayable.
