Black Myth: Wukong – How Does Compatibility Mode Affects Game
Black Myth: Wukong is a souls-like game where players might prefer their game to be seamless in gameplay and graphics. Even if we have higher-end PC hardware, there are instances where the game crashes, goes black screen, or has a stuttering effect while playing. The Compatibility Mode was included in the Benchmark Tool but how does it affect your game?
How Does Compatibility Mode Affect Game In Black Myth: Wukong?
Compatibility mode allows users who have old Operating systems or hardware to be compatible with the new hardware and software. Therefore, the game running in Compatibility Mode reduces the overall settings of Graphics and Display to reduce the load generated on the CPU and GPU for optimal performance. However, the V-Sync will remain active which is a huge source of FPS drop.
It is recommended to manually optimize the display and graphics settings of the game if you are having issues. Start the game normally and compare it with Compatibility Mode. Whichever generates more FPS on your PC is recommended. You can compromise on a few visual settings, but the gameplay cannot be compromised unless you have better PC hardware.
As we mentioned there are instances where players can experience stutter and abrupt black screen on their screen. This is due to rendering new areas and compiling shaders through your CPU. To fix the Out-of-Video-Memory error in Black Myth: Wukong, you can try different methods that we have listed in our previous post.
