As this is an endgame resource we have already guessed correctly that to get or mine it, you will require a tool with the same rarity i.e. Epic. How To Get Iron Bar In Lego Fortnite?
Considering you have already crafted the respective charms to be immune from any type of heat and frost respectively. The iron is located in the Ice biome i.e. Frostlands Cave. Therefore, to survive you need to increase your resistance via charm and consumables.
Next, you will be required to craft your Crafting Bench to the maximum rarity at the moment i.e. Epic. This will allow you to craft a Forest Axe (Epic) and get Frostpines from the tree at Frostlands. After getting all the items to craft a Pickaxe (Epic), you can enter the cave in the Ice biome. Upon entering, you can find Iron veins inside that require an epic Pickaxe to mine.
After mining iron, you can get back to your base and use the Metal Smelter. Iron can be smelted down to turn into an Iron Bar by consuming a piece of Iron and 2x Brightcore.
