The secret tunnel door will be locked from the beginning and to unlock the door, you do not need any type of keys. All you need to do is reach the intersecting area by unlocking each area one at a time.
Once you have proceeded to the area whose both ends have the entrance or exit of the same secret tunnel door then it will be unlocked automatically. For example- Area 2 secret tunnel door will be unlocked after you reach Area 9. Then you can use the shortcut tunnel to bypass all the areas and farm at the new unlocked area.
