Star Ocean The Second Story R is a role-playing game developed by Square Enix. In this game, you have to select one main protagonist out of two characters which are Claude and Rena. This game is the remake of Star Ocean The Second Story which was released way back in the year 1998. Below you will find a brief guide explained about the New Game+ mode.
Star Ocean The Second Story R New Game Plus Explained
After completing the game once, you will find a new option in the main menu screen as New Game+. In the new game+, your character level will be carried over. That means it will remain the same when you complete the game.
Similar to character level, your FOL, SP, and BP will also be carried over. You do not have to worry about money or leveling up your character’s special skills. The friendship level and the encyclopedia’s completion status will remain the same.
All the fun city facilities, guild missions, and challenge missions will also be carried over. You can complete the remaining city facilities, guild missions, and challenge missions in the New Game+ too. The only thing that won’t be carried over will be the quest-related items.
Unlike other games, this game doesn’t provide any new difficulty mode after completing the game. That means you can only select the highest difficulty which is the “Universe” option. The game only has three difficulty modes that can be changed from the game settings. In the setting option, select the battle setting and there you will be able to change the difficulty.
