star ocean the second story rIn Star Ocean The Second Story R, there are a few time-limited event quests that need immediate attention in order to access and complete them quickly. Ruddle The Traveler quest is a quest that needs to be completed quickly when it is still available. After completing this quest, you will receive a token of gratitude in the form of a powerful weapon called “Scumbag Slayer” that can instantly delete any enemies that has scum on their name.

To complete the Ruddle the Traveler side quest and receive the scumbag sword you will need to help the traveler three times. To do so first you need to progress through the story until you complete the armory content in Lacuer city here you will need to travel to Salva>Town Streets>Entrance and you will find Ruddle the traveler with a rhombus-shaped hat. interact with Ruddle and instruct him to “Go North“.

Next, you will need to travel to Marze, here go straight into the item shop and you will find Ruddle inside the shop. Interact with him and guide him by selecting “it’s further east of here“.

After helping him in Marze travel to Hilton, here you will need to go to Hilton>Town Streets>Entrance. In the market area you will find him again. so interact with him and instruct him by selecting “you just need to travel by boat again“.

Claiming the Scumbag Slayer

Now after helping him three times, you will need to go Harley. Here proceed to go Harley>Town Streets>Entrance. From here enter the inn and you will find Ruddle at the back left side of the inn. Doing this will complete the quest and you will receive the Scumbag Slayer.
