Remnant 2’s Postulant’s Parlor Chess Puzzle is surprisingly straightforward to solve. You need to have all three of the white pieces aligned in a straight line anywhere on the board, similar to Tic Tac Toe. The nearby book provides an explanation as well. The gargoyle seated across the table from you, known as The Postulant, is attempting the same challenge and will curse you more intensely as you lose. The rules of the game are simple:
- It’s always your turn first.
- If one of your opponent’s black pieces isn’t in the way, you are allowed to move a single unit one space in any direction, including diagonally.
