Railway Empire 2 How To Set Up Parallel Tracks, & Station Gridiron
Railway Empire 2 presents players with an exciting opportunity to construct parallel tracks, providing a plethora of benefits to their virtual railway systems. The construction of parallel tracks enables players to greatly amplify the capacity and efficiency of their networks. However, building these parallel tracks can be a somewhat intricate process that requires careful consideration of the terrain. It is crucial to avoid constructing one track with bridges or tunnels while the other track is merely created with earthworks near a station. Doing so would impede the placement of a Station Gridiron. In the following sections, we will delve into the step-by-step process of constructing parallel tracks and effectively positioning a Station Gridiron for optimal railway operations.
Railway Empire 2 How To Construct Parallel Tracks
Constructing parallel tracks in Railway Empire 2 offers numerous advantages. Firstly, it increases the capacity of the railway system. With multiple tracks running parallel, more trains can operate simultaneously. This enables higher frequency and greater capacity for train services, reducing congestion and allowing for smoother operations.
Parallel tracks also enhance efficiency by enabling trains to pass each other without interruptions or delays. Faster trains can overtake slower ones, and dedicated tracks can be assigned for freight trains, reducing the need for frequent stops or speed restrictions. This improves overall efficiency and reduces travel time for passengers and goods.
To construct parallel tracks, first, you need to connect one station platform with another without any bridges or tunnels. Once you do that, while placing another track beside it, you will find an icon of two tracks. Clicking on the icon will automatically create a parallel track, but before building it, make sure no tunnels or bridges are being constructed. Else you won’t be able to set up station Girdiron and then locomotives won’t be able to switch tracks.
How To Set Up Station Gridiron
Station Gridiron provides a designated area where trains can be sorted, organized, and rearranged. It consists of multiple tracks and sidings, allowing trains to be separated based on their destination, origin, or purpose. To establish a Station Gridiron, click on the track icon located at the upper right corner of the screen and select the Station Gridiron icon. Next, position the Station Gridiron near the parallel tracks of the station and drag the cursor until the Station Gridiron icon turns white. It is essential to position these Station Gridiron at both the arrival and departure stations to ensure the smooth movement of trains and optimize efficiency.
