To gain access to these classes, you must first complete certain requirements and unlock the associated achievements. Each monster class offers a distinct playstyle, allowing you to experiment with new strategies and approaches to the game. Whether you prefer the agile movements of the Goatperson or the vampiric powers of the Vampire, these classes offer a refreshing change of pace to your gameplay experience.

To unlock the Vampire class, you must complete the “Razor Blade Smile” quest, which involves completing the Vicious Steel dungeon with three different hero classes. This quest becomes available only after you have beaten the “Vicious Edge” quest by completing the Halls of Steel dungeon with four different hero classes.

The Goatperson is a distinctive playable monster class in Desktop Dungeons, exclusive to the Goatperson DLC. Unlike the other three monster classes, unlocking the Goatperson does not require any quests to be completed. Instead, you must unlock four gods in the game and encounter the Pactmaker’s altar at least once. Once this condition is met, the Goat Glade building becomes available, which can be constructed for 3000 gold.

To unlock the Half-Dragon class in Desktop Dungeons, you must complete the “Here Be Dragons” quest. This quest requires you to complete the Dragon Isles dungeon with three different hero classes. However, the quest becomes available only after beating the “Muu…” quest, which involves completing the Labyrinth dungeon with the Berserker, Fighter, and Warlord classes.

The Dragon Isles dungeon presents a unique challenge, as you must first defeat the level 10 Dragon boss above ground before heading into a special sub-dungeon. In this sub-dungeon, you will face off against several powerful level 9 Dragon Guards before fighting the “real” Dragon boss.

To unlock the Gorgon class in Desktop Dungeons, you must complete the “Snakes? SNAAAKES!” quest. This quest requires you to complete the Naga City dungeon with three different hero classes. However, the quest becomes available only after beating the “Challenge Accepted” quest, which involves completing Ick Swamp with the Thief, Rogue, and Assassin classes. The Naga City dungeon presents a unique challenge, as it lacks altars or bosses. Instead, a Hooded Figure offers to take you to a sub-dungeon once you have leveled up enough to face the challenges ahead. The real challenge of this dungeon lies in the fact that you must defeat a large number of bosses to succeed.
