Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened brings us one of the greatest detectives in a Lovecraftian adventure setting to investigate a series of mysterious disappearances and cases. The first chapter is just the tip of the iceberg where we learn how to control the prowess of deduction and evidence gathering. Let’s crack the case together as we dive deep into the horror and mystery!

Case Of Missing Strand

As there are no new cases, Sherlock is bored, and in search of his daily newspaper; he founds his Strand missing. While collecting all the key evidence from his table, Sherlock accompanied by Watson grab their coat to collect the Strand from the dustbin.

In the dustbin, there are 2 evidence;

  • Cactus Spine
  • Strand

Next, talk to the newspaper boy from whom you will get an idea of what happened in the morning. Open the Casebook and your Mind Palace to select the relevant evidence to deduce the answer.

Who ruined "The Strand"?
  1. Items: Book from Barnes
  2. Documents and Testimonies: Newsboy’s testimony

After deducing, go to the Barnes Bookshop to gather all the key evidence and observe Barnes. Once you have observed Barnes, the Portrait it resembles is of a “Workaholic“. After exploring his bookstore, talk to the florist Mrs. Flemming i.e. situated opposite the bookstore.

Inspect the store and observe Mrs. Flemming and paint the Portrait as she is “Ready to move on“. Provide Evidence to her i.e.

  • Cactus in a cracked pot.
  • Dead flowers on display.
  • Character Portrait: Mr. Barnes

Next, connect this evidence in your Mind Palace and approach Mr. Barnes:

Why is Barnes acting so strangely?
  1. Items: Cactus in a cracked pot.
  2. Observation: Dead flowers on display.
  3. Documents and Testimonies: Mrs. Flemming on Barnes.
Case of Missing Servant, Kimihia

Talk to him and eventually, the first minor case will be solved which will let you handle the case of Captain Stenwick. Watson will point in which direction his mansion is, once you reach and learn about his missing servant, Kimihia. Explore and collect clues to deduce what happened in the garden.

Inspect the broken statue, to gather the following evidence:

  • Knee Print
  • Shoe Print
  • Chewing Tobacco

Make sure you open the Casebook and pin important and relevant evidence in order to reveal the key pieces. The evidence i.e. required to be pinned will be marked in your Casebook Journal.

Pin:
  1. Trail In Captain Stenwick’s Garden.
  2. A lock with an unusual keyhole.

Once you have enough evidence, talk to Captain Stenwick. The evidence is:

  1. Clothes made of hessian.
  2. Spyglass.
  3. A lock with an unusual keyhole.
  4. Chewing tobacco remnants.
  5. Footprints in Captain Stenwick’s garden.

Arrange the Imagination nodes in the correct order and Validate i.e.

  1. Observation Node 1: Sequence 3
  2. Observation Node 2: Sequence 3
  3. Observation Node 3: Sequence 3
  4. Observation Node 4: Sequence 2
  5. Observation Node 5: Sequence 2
Follow the Abductor’s trail and connect the nodes in Mind Palace;
