The next criterion that you need to match is to reach your spiritual level to 20 in the game. Basically, meditation in the game is your “upgrade in process,” which you will be using a lot throughout the soul society. Just press “K” to get into the meditation phase.
Lastly, and most importantly, you need to become a soul reaper first. In order to do so, you need to first combat a hollow character and defeat it. This will be one of your quests that will be assigned to you by Kisuke.
