As you wander from village to village in the vast map of Diablo 4 you will come across a locked glowing treasure chest called “Silent Chest”. These chests don’t guarantee rare loot, as the loot drops are random in this game. But to open these treasure chests you will have to spend 20 Murmuring Obols. You need a whispering key that can be purchased using Murmuring Obols to open the silent chest.
Murmuring Obols are a type of currency in Diablo 4 that are used to purchase certain items from the Purveyor of Curiosities Vendor “Lizbeth”. You need to look out for a gold bag symbol on the map to find this vendor. They are obtained by completing specific tasks, such as participating in PvP combat, completing dungeons, or defeating certain enemies. Murmuring Obols are bound to the character that earns them and cannot be traded or sold to other players.
You can only carry a certain amount of Murmuring Obols in your inventory. Obols can’t be stored in your chest, so make sure to spend some in Curiosities Vendor. You can find the Purveyor of Curiosities Vendor “Lizbeth” in Fractured Peak “Desolate Highland” main town where the Kyovashad waypoint is located or in any other village with a gold bag icon.
