In Hogwarts Legacy, there are 7 different types of potions that give buffs to your character when used. Some of these potions help in increasing defense and attack for a certain type. One of the potions that you will need in the game to complete Professor Sharp’s assignment 2 is the Thunderbrew potion which costs a lot of gold. Below you will find how to craft these and the ingredients required to craft them.

Hogwarts Legacy How To Get Thunderbrew Potion

Thunderbrew potion when used summons a dark cloud above your character that fires thunderbolts on enemies near you. You will get an assignment from Professor Sharp where you have to use a Thunderbrew potion and use against enemies. While you can buy this potion from the shop, it will cost 1000 gold to buy one. Rather than buying just one by spending so much gold, you could get the recipe and ingredients and craft them on your own in the room of requirement. The ingredients required to craft this potion are:

  • 1x Leech Juice
  • 1x Shrivelfig Fruit
  • 1x Stench of the Dead

Hogwarts Legacy Where To Find Ingredients For Thunderbrew Potion

To find leech juice, you need to go near the river banks. There you can find orange leeches on the ground that could be picked up to obtain leech juice.

For the Shrivelfig fruit you need to visit the location shown in the above image “Magic Neep” and interact with the shopkeeper “Timothy Teasdale”. He will sell you the fruit for 150 gold or you could buy the seed for 450 gold which requires a medium pot to grow.

To find the stench of the dead you need to visit an Inferi lair. You can find one on the opposite side of Keenbridge or in the cemetery of Hogsmeade. There you need to kill those Inferius using a flame spell and they will drop some stench of the dead. You can also buy this ingredient from Hogsmeade in the J Pippin’s Potions Shop.
