Hogwarts Legacy Unforgivable Curse & Unlock All Spells List
In Hogwarts Legacy there are various different types of spells you will learn. These spells will help you explore the huge map, solve puzzles, find treasure, fighting against dark wizards and goblins. You need to complete certain quests to unlock these spells. The spells in this game are classified into 7 categories which are:
- Essential
- Control
- Force
- Damage
- Utility
- Transfiguration
- Unforgivable Curse
Under these 7 categories, there are 31 spells that can be unlocked by completing main and side quests in the game. Below you will find all the spell list what they and which quest you need to complete to unlock them.
Hogwarts Legacy All Spell List & How To Unlock
Essential
- Basic Cast – The basic spell attack that you get at the start of the game.
- Revelio (Show Hidden Objects) – Unlocked during the tutorial of the game.
- Protego (Create A Shield Barrier) – Unlocked during the tutorial of the game.
- Stupefy (Stun Attack The Enemy By Parrying) – Unlocked during the tutorial of the game.
- Ancient Magic Throw (Throw Environmental Objects Towards Enemies) – Unlocks while doing the “Welcome To Hogsmeade” Quest.
- Ancient Magic (Deals Massive Damage & Break Opponent Shield) – Unlocks while doing the “Welcome To Hogsmeade” Quest.
- Alohomora (Lockpick Spell) – Unlocks while doing “The Caretaker’s Lunar Lament” Quest
- Petrificus Totalus (Sneak Attack To Bind Enemies) – Unlock while doing “Percival Rackham’s Trial” Quest.
Control
- Arresto Momentum (Slows Object & Enemies) – Unlocks while doing “Madam Kogawa’s Assignment 2”.
- Glacius (Freeze Enemies & Deal Extra Magic Damage) – Unlocks while doing “Madam Kogawa’s Assignment 1”.
- Levioso (Make Enemies Fly & Break Their Defense) – Unlocks while doing the “Defense Against The Dark Arts” Quest.
- Transformation ( Transform Object & Enemies Into Alternate Form) – Unlocks while doing “Professor Weasley Assignment”.
Force
- Accio (Pulls An Object Or Enemies Towards You) – When you attend your first “Charm Class”.
- Depulso (Repels An Object Or Enemy Away From You) – Unlocks while doing “Professor Sharp’s Assignment 1”.
- Descendo (Slams Enemies Into The Ground) – Unlocks while doing “Professor Onai’s Assignment”.
- Flipendo (Flips Objects Or Enemies) – Unlocks while doing “Professor Garlick’s Assignment 2”.
Damage
- Confringo (Long Range Fire Bolt) – Unlocks while doing the “In The Shadow Of The Undercroft” Quest.
- Diffindo (Slashes Far Away Enemies Or Objects) – Unlocks while doing “Professor Sharp’s Assignment 2”.
- Expellarmus (Disarms Wands Or Weapons Of Enemies) – Unlocks while doing “Professor Hecat’s Assignment 2”
- Bombarda (Deals Heavy Damage & Explodes Upon Impact) – Unlocks while doing “Professor Howin’s Assignment”
- Incendio (Short Range Massive Damage Spell) – Unlocks while doing “Professor Hecat’s Assignment 1”.
Utility
- Disillusionment (Turn Invisible) – Unlocks while doing the “Secrets of the Restricted Section” Quest.
- Lumos (Light Up Dark Area) – Unlocks while doing the tutorial.
- Reparo (Repair Broken Objects) – Unlocks while doing “Professor Ronen’s Assignment”.
- Wingardium Leviosa (Levitate & Control Objects) – Unlocks while doing “Professor Garlick’s Assignment 1”
Transfiguration (Room Of Requirement)
- Conjuring Spell – Conjures Item Into Existence
- Altering Spell – Alter Object Feature & Physical Form
- Evanesco – Vanish Item & Return Moonstone
Note: Complete the Room Of Requirement quest to learn these spells and these spells can only be used inside the room of requirement.
Unforgivable Curse
- Avada Kedavra (Kill Enemies In One Hit) – Unlocks while doing “Shadow of the Relic” Quest
- Crucio (Deal Massive Damage & Overtime Damage) – Unlocks while ” doing the “Shadow of the Study” Quest.
- Imperio (Make Enemy Your Ally For Few Seconds) – Unlocks while doing the “Shadow of Time” Quest.
Note: To be able to learn the unforgivable curse spells, you need to select the correct dialogue. For Crucio and Imperio choose “Learn the Spell” and for Avada Kedavra choose “Everyone should know about this curse” to learn them.
