slime ranchers 2

In Slime Rancher 2, there are three different types of food sources which are fruits, veggies, and meat. For meat, you need to find chickens by exploring the rainbow island and bring them back to your conservatory to breed them in the coop. Feed these chickens to the slimes that love meat to produce plorts. Below you will find where to find briar hens and sea hens.

Slime Rancher 2 Find Briar Hen

Briar hens are a breed of chicken that you will find in the second area of this game. These hens are meat food types that you can feed slimes to obtain plorts. Briar hens can be found in the ember valley but for that, you need to explore the area a bit.

Once you reach the lava area of the ember valley, marked in the image above. You will find a few Briar hens there. As these hens are meat food time, sometimes the slimes located there will feed on them. Make sure to find the hen’s nest and come back later if you don’t find any near it. You need to suck them inside your Vac and bring them back to the conservatory.

Slime Rancher 2 Sea Hen

Sea hens are also a breed of chicken in this game that are a meat food type. You will find these hens once you reach Ember valley. When you first encounter the danger zone and feral slimes, you will find some sea hens in that area. These are typically blue and white in color. Sea hens are the favorite food of the Angler Slime.

How To Breed Chicken

To breed chicken in this game, you need to build a coop. Place the chicken inside the coop to make them breed. Sometimes when the coop is filled, chicken might escape by jumping over the wall. You can make some upgrades to the coop to increase the wall size. Some other upgrades available for the coop are:

  • Spring Grass – Produce bugs, so that the chickadoos turn into healthy roostros and hens faster.
  • Vitamizer – Breed chickens faster.
  • Elder Collector – Automatically collect Elder Chickens.
