In Disney Dreamlight Valley, to unlock Mother Gothel, you need to unlock an area called Glade of Trust. There you will find a quest from Mother Gothel called “The Curse” in which you need to find the orb of trust and put it back in the pillar. In this quest, you will also need to find some Dream Shards and Night Shards to complete the subquest. Below you will find how to complete the quest and find the Orb Of Trust.

The curse quest will be unlocked once you remove the big thorns from the Glade of Trust area. There you find Mother Gothel with whom you need to visit the pillar of trust. After that, the curse will be activated in which you won’t be able to enter any Disney character house. You have to quickly remove the curse to resume the other characters’ quest. To remove the curse you need to find the Orb of Trust and put it inside the Pillar Of Trust.

Once you have inspected the pillar, Mother Gothel will tell you that the Orb is in another dimension and you will need Merlin’s help to reach it. Interact with Merlin where he will ask you to gather 5 Dream Shards and 5 Night Shards. Dream Shards can be found by clearing thorns and Night Shards by digging into the sparkling ground. After that visit Kristoff who will ask you to visit Ursala, that knows a spell that will take you to the other dimension and you will be able to obtain the Orb Of Trust.

You need to visit Ursala’s cave and hand her the Dream shards and Night Shards to start casting spells. Once you are in the other dimension, you need to visit the Glade of Trust and head towards the glowing yellow light to find the Orb Of Trust. Put the Orb of Trust in the Pillar of Trust to remove the curse and complete Mother Gothel’s quest.
