After the Vanishing in Ghostwire: Tokyo, MC Akito who wakes up with Demon K.K. in his head need to master new abilities and skill that has been ingrained to cleanse Yokai or supernatural beings. As we follow the story and secure soul fragments to level up and increase the synergy level of Akito with his new powerups or skills. We also battle tons of mythological supernatural ghosts based on Japanese lores who reward with XP’s after purging their cores. In this post, we have focused on all the abilities and skills that can be obtained or unlocked.

All Skills And Ability Upgrade List For Ghostwire: Tokyo

There are majorly 3 types of categorized abilities that need an investment of Skill Points i.e. earned after leveling up. Skill Points are used to purchase new skills under Abilities, Ethereal Weaving, and Equipment in Ghostwire: Tokyo.


Abilities (31)

It is the type of section where you enhance the physical body and senses to adapt and improve in an aspect of exploration and defenses in Ghostwire: Tokyo.

  1. Spectral Vision: Enables you to use Spectral Vision to inspect your surroundings. Works at a range of 30 meters. [Unlocked]
  2. Spectral Vision (Range Boost): Extends the range of your Spectral Vision to 40 meters. [SP- 10]
  3. Spectral Vision (Range Boost II): Extends the range of your Spectral Vision to 50 meters. [SP- 15]
  4. Glide: Glide smoothly through the air for two seconds. [Unlocked]
  5. Glide (Duration Boost): Extend your glide time to three seconds. [SP- 10]
  6. Glide (Duration Boost II): Extend your glide time to five seconds. [Magatama- 3,SP- 15]
  7. Grapple: Allows you to grapple onto tengu and quickly zip up to them. [Unlocked]
  8. Grapple (Summon Tengu): Summon a Tengu and immediately grapple to it. [Magatama- 7,SP- 45]
  9. Wire In: Sends out a shockwave around you and makes it easier to expose enemy cores. [Unlocked at Chapter 2]
  10. Wire In (Duration Boost): Increases the length of time you can remain wired in to 37.5 seconds.[SP- 10]
  11. Wire In (Duration Boost II): Increases the length of time you can remain wired in to 50 seconds. [Magatama- 3,SP- 15]
  12. Faster Sneaking: A 30% boost in movement speed while crouching. [SP- 10]
  13. Faster Sneaking: A 60% boost in movement speed while crouching. [Magatama- 3,SP- 15]
  14. Ether Shakedown: Causes either to appear when hitting enemies with strike attacks. [SP- 10]
  15. Ether Shakedown (Ether Boost): Approximately doubles the amount of ether that appears when hitting enemies with strike attacks. [SP- 15]
  16. Perfect Block (Ether Generation): Causes ether to appear when you successfully perform a Perfect Block. [SP- 10]
  17. Perfect Block (Ether Boost): Approximately doubles the amount of ether that appears when you successfully perform a Perfect Block. [SP- 15]
  18. Core Grab (HP Restoration): Increases the HP restored by enemy core extraction to 10. [SP- 10]
  19. Core Grab (HP Restoration II): Increases the HP restored by enemy core extraction to 15. [SP- 15]
  20. Core Exposure (Duration Boost): Extends the amount of time that enemy cores are exposed to 1.75x. [SP- 10]
  21. Core Exposure (Duration Boost II): Extends the amount of time that enemy cores are exposed to 2.5x. [SP- 15]
  22. Core Grab (Speed Boost): Increases the speed of enemy core extraction to 1.5x. [SP- 10]
  23. Core Grab (Speed Boost II): Increases the speed of enemy core extraction to 2x. [Magatama- 3,SP- 15]
  24. Melee Core Grab: Allows you to directly grab and crush enemy cores at close range. (10 skill points required)
  25. Melee Core Grab (Speed Boost): The speed of crushing enemy cores at close range is increased to 2.5x. [Magatama- 3,SP- 15]
  26. Ground Attack Boost: Increases damage to downed enemies to 1.5x. [SP- 10]
  27. Ground Attack Boost (II): Increases damage to downed enemies to 2x. [SP- 15]
  28. Ground Core Grab: Allows you to use Quick Purge on downed enemies. [SP- 10]
  29. Ground Core Grab (Speed Boost): Doubles the speed of using Quick Purge on downed enemies. [SP- 15]
  30. Spirit Absorption (Speed Boost): Increases the speed at which you absorb spirits to 1.5x. [SP- 10]
  31. Spirit Absorption (Speed Boost II): Increases the speed at which you absorb spirits to 3x. [SP- 15]

Ethereal Weaving (21)

In this section we buff and upgrade the elemental attacks or affinity we wield by Ethereal Weaving respectively in Ghostwire: Tokyo.

  1. Wind Weaving: Allows you to blast weak but rapid gusts of air with wind-element Ethereal Weaving. [Unlocked]
  2. Wind Weaving (Speed Boost): Increases the fire rate for Wind Weaving attacks by 15%. [SP- 15]
  3. Wind Weaving (Speed Boost II): Increases the fire rate for Wind Weaving attacks by 30% [SP- 20]
  4. Wind Weaving (Speed Boost III): Increases the fire rate for Wind Weaving attacks by 50% [SP- 40]
  5. Wind Charge Attack (More Shots): Increases the number of shots fired for charged Wind Weaving attacks to 3 shots. [SP- 15]
  6. Wind Charge Attack (More Shots II): Increases the number of shots fired for charged Wind Weaving attacks to 4 shots. [Magatama- 3,SP- 20]
  7. Water Weaving: Allows you to launch wide, close-range water attacks with water-element Ethereal Weaving. [Unlocked at Chapter 2]
  8. Water Weaving (More Shots): Enables you to fire 2 shots at a time with Water Weaving. [SP- 15]
  9. Water Weaving (More Shots II): Enables you to fire 3 shots at a time with Water Weaving. [Magatama- 3,SP- 20]
  10. Water Charge Attack (Width Boost): Increases the width of charged Water Weaving attacks to 5 meters. [SP- 15]
  11. Water Charge Attack (Width Boost II): Increases the width of charged Water Weaving attacks to 7 meters. [SP- 20]
  12. Water Charge Attack (Width Boost III): Increases the width of charged Water Weaving attacks to 9 meters. [SP- 40]
  13. Fire Weaving: Allows you to invoke powerful, fiery explosions with fire-element Ethereal Weaving. [Unlocked]
  14. Fire Weaving (Piercing): Enables Fire Weaving attacks to pierce through one enemy. [SP- 10]
  15. Fire Weaving (Piercing II): Enables Fire Weaving attacks to pierce through multiple enemies as well as objects such as umbrellas and shields. [SP- 20]
  16. Fire Charge Attack (Radius Boost): Increases the explosion radius for charged Fire Weaving attacks to 5 meters. [SP- 15]
  17. Fire Charge Attack (Radius Boost II): Increases the explosion radius for charged Fire Weaving attacks to 6 meters. [SP- 20]
  18. Fire Charge Attack (Radius Boost III): Increases the explosion radius for charged Fire Weaving attacks to 9 meters. [Magatama- 3,SP- 40]
  19. Charge Attack: Enables you to perform charged Ethereal Weaving attacks, the properties of which vary based on the equipped element. [SP- 10]
  20. Charge Attack (Speed Boost): Shortens the charge time for charged Ethereal Weaving attacks by 25%. [SP- 15]
  21. Charge Attack (Speed Boost II): Shortens the charge time for charged Ethereal Weaving attacks by 50%. [SP- 20]

Equipment (16)

In this section, all the spiritual weapons such as Bows and Arrows, Talisman including the consumables are categorized.

  1. Talismans: Deploy talismans, which trigger various effects when thrown whereas carrying capacity is 5. [Unlocked at Chapter 2]
  2. Talismans (Capacity Boost): Increases your talisman carrying capacity to six at a time. [SP- 10]
  3. Talismans (Capacity Boost II): Increases your talisman carrying capacity to seven at a time. [SP- 10]
  4. Talismans (Capacity Boost III): Increases your talisman carrying capacity to eight at a time. [SP- 15]
  5. Bows and Arrows: Allows you to wield a bow, which can be used to defeat enemies at a distance whereas carrying capacity is 10 arrows. [Unlocked at Chapter 2]
  6. Quiver Boost: Increases the bow’s quiver size to 13 arrows. [SP- 10]
  7. Quiver Boost (II): Increases the bow’s quiver size to 15 arrows. [SP- 15]
  8. Quiver Boost (III): Increases the bow’s quiver size to 20 arrows. [SP- 15]
  9. Bow (Speed Boost): Increases the bow draw speed to 1.5x. [SP- 10]
  10. Bow (Speed Boost II): Increases the bow draw speed to 1.75x. [Magatama- 3,SP- 10]
  11. Prayer Beads: Enables you to equip 1 set of prayer beads to bolster your abilities. [Unlocked at Chapter 2]
  12. Prayer Beads (Extra Set): Enables you to equip two sets of prayer beads at a time to bolster your abilities. [SP- 25]
  13. Prayer Beads (Extra Set II): Enables you to equip three sets of prayer beads at a time to bolster your abilities. [Magatama- 3,SP- 15]
  14. Consumables (Capacity Boost): Increases your consumable carrying capacity to five of each type of item. [SP- 10]
  15. Consumables (Capacity Boost II): Increases your consumable carrying capacity to seven of each type of item. [SP- 10]
