Dying Light 2 How To Play Multiplayer Co-op & Join / Invite Friends
Dying Light 2 is an action survival role-playing game developed by Techland. The game is available on all the platforms and supports multiplayer co-op to up to 4 players as dying light 1. Before you can join your friends and explore the vast ruined land with your friends, you need to complete the tutorial or the intro till you make it to the place called Bazaar.
There you will find various shops where you can trade, sell and buy all the new blueprints and items in exchange for the things you have scavenged by exploring the open world. You will also find two of the side quests there that you can complete in exchange for XP and coins. Once you set out of the bazaar you will be able to invite your friends to join by opening the menu.
Note: If you are playing from the PC, press the ESC button else the start button from your controller.
Dying Light 2 Stay Human Invite / Join Friends
To invite or join your friends, open the menu and then select the online menu. There you need to change the host set to public, private, or friends only. After that, on the bottom right corner of the screen, you can check the button to invite your friends.
To join an already hosted game you can choose the option to find games or select quick join where you will be randomly connected to one of the players who has set his hosting as public. By joining other players, your solo mission will not be completed but your character will receive all the XP and bonus items that you collect while playing with other layers.
Currently, the cross-play feature is not available but might come with a later update. That means friends who are playing the game using different platforms will not be able to play together.
Note: Upon going into the online menu you can check the network status on the right side of the screen as connected or disconnected. If your network is disconnected you won’t be able to join co-op games and have to restart the game.
