Cyberpunk 2077 How To Remove Virus From The Chip Or Cred?
Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most awaited action role-playing game developed by CD Projekt RED. In a mission called “The Pickup”. You get an optional quest, where you will get a chip with the virus. You can remove the virus and keep the money for yourself. Below you will find different choices you will get.
Cyberpunk 2077 How To Remove Virus From The Chip
During the pickup mission, you will get an option quest to call and talk with Meredith Stout. She is a Militech agent who wants to find the Bot that Royce has. At first, she won’t believe you use her lie detector on you to check if you are lying about Royce and bot or are you alone.
You can choose to lie to her, but eventually, she will find out the truth that you came alone and don’t possess any ill intent towards her. She will then give you a cred chip and ask you to pay Royce with that card. You can ask her about the virus on the card and she will explain it to track Royce’s location.
After that, you can either remove the virus from the chip or give it directly to Royce after talking with Jackie. Both of these choices have different outcomes, so you can check our previous post HERE. You will find all the choices you will get and the outcome of it.
To remove the virus from the chip, you need to open the game menu from where you visit stats customization or inventory. At the last, you will find a journal menu and when you hover on it, you will find the shard menu. Visit the shard menu and you will find the Militech Datashard that you need to crack.
There are two sequences that you can upload the first one will neutralize the malware where anyone can use the cred chip. The other one copies daemon malware but I am still not sure what that does. There are two pictures where you can find the pattern to crack the chip.
Note: Some people have said there might be a bug where you didn’t get 10k money after cracking and keep the cred chip for yourself. You can try to remove the virus after completing the pickup mission. If you removed the virus before the mission, you won’t get the 10k money.
