Spiritfarer is an indie adventure game developed by Thunder Lotus Games. There are various mini-games present in this game and one of which is catching fish. The different location of the map has different fish, which changes according to weather too.
These fishes are used to make exotic dishes which can be given to different spirits present on your boat to increase their mood. HERE you will find all the list of recipes available in-game, likes and dislikes of spirits.

There is a total of 33 fish available in this game which you need to catch to complete the achievement and collect rewards from the museum. Spiritfarer How To Catch Rare Fish
On the map, there will be some specific spot to fish where you may get a chance to get rare fish. But while fishing in these areas the fishing rod turn red quickly and catching rare fish will be hard.
While at the starting of the game you will only be able to catch the common fish Herring till you meet the spirit Atul who will upgrade your fishing tool. But still, it won’t be enough to catch the rare fishes.
So what you must do is to find a shrine that will unlock the ability that will boost your Everlight tool. This means while mining or fishing the tool won’t break or turn red easily and you will be able to catch rare fishes.
