Scrap Mechanic Fertilizer, Trader Location And Vacuum & Water Pump Crafting

Scrap Mechanic is a sandbox game developed by Axolot Games. At the beginning of the game you will have a hard time surviving but once you find the mechanic station, it will be a lot of fun. You will get access to a lot of tools and bots that will make it easier for you to survive.

If you are having a hard time finding the mechanic station and master battery, you can check out our previous post HERE. In the mid-game when you will have a big farm, you need to build yourself a water pump and Vacuum pump to water your crops and pack them to sell it to the trader.

In this post, I will tell you how to build and use a vacuum pump, water pump, and trader location. You can also be able to buy fertilizer from the trader in exchange for the crops.

Scrap Mechanic Fertilizer

Fertilizer is used to speed up the growing process of the crops on your farm. At the beginning of the game, you will find only 15 fertilizers that you can use.

After that, you need to find the trader and sell him beetroots in exchange for the fertilizers. To sell crops to the trader you need to pack them up. To pack the crops, you need to visit the packing station. You can either drop the crops one by one or use the vacuum pump.

Below you will find the trader location and how to build a vacuum pump and water pump.

Scrap Mechanic Trader Location

The trader will be behind the first packing station you will find. Behind the station, you will find a cliff with a door-like opening. Near that door, you will find various kinds of warning signs. Go inside the door and you will find the trader.

Vacuum Pump

The vacuum pump will be used to pump crops inside the packing station and pack all your crops to sell them at the traders. You will find the packing station beside the road, use your vehicle to roam on the roads, and eventually you will come across one station.

You can craft a vacuum pump from the craft bot that you will find in the Mechanic station. You need to install the vacuum pump on your vehicle. Place the vacuum pump in the packing station as shown in the image. The packing station will take 10 crops and pack them in a cargo container.

Note: To use the vacuum pump you need to put a switch and connect it with the pump.

Water Pump

The water pump will help you collect a lot of water way faster and you can use them to water your crops. You don’t have to fill up water in the bucket every time you want to water the crops.

First of all, you need a vacuum pump, a pipe, a water container, and a switch. Go near the water body, place the vacuum pump facing the water downwards, fit the pipe and the water container, and finally the switch.

Connect the switch with the vacuum pump and now it will keep collecting water for you. Make sure you have the right direction in your vacuum pump to suck the water in. Else press the left mouse button to change the direction of flow.
