Trails Of Mana All Character, Class, And Companion Guide
Trails Of Mana was initially released in 1995 and recently got a remake which was released on 23rd April. If you haven’t played the original version, this guide will help you with which character to choose. Before buying the game, you can also try the demo versions in both Steam and Nintendo Switch.
Based on your choice of character, the story will change and each character has their own story to tell. So you can re-run the game with all different characters but the end part of the game will be the same for all. As the fate of all these characters is entwined with each other.
Note: There is a total of 3 enemy factions which these 6 characters have to fight. So each of these 2 characters has to fight one faction. Duran and Angela will fight The Dragon Lord, Charlotte and Kevin will fight Masked Mage, Lisa and Hawkeye will fight Dark Majesty Faction.

Trails Of Mana Character List And Stats
Each fighter gets to choose two classes once when he is level 18 and again in level 38. One of them is the light class while the other being the dark class. Each class has its own set of spells that characters can use in-game.
Duran
He is a young soldier from the Kingdom of Valsena, while being a little hot-headed he is very skilled with his swords. His primary weapon is a sword which deals with high attack power and great defense with shields.

Level 18 – Knight or Gladiator.
Level 38 (Knight) – Paladin or Liege.
Level 38 (Gladiator) – Edelfrei or Duelist.
Angela
She is the only daughter of Queen of Altena, and a bit of mischief-maker as well. As the mana weakens so does the mage’s power. So the queen decides to invade other nations to retrieve mana stones. Angela is good at range magic and has mass targetting spells.

Kevin
He is the heir to the throne of Ferolia and his father is the king of beastmen. His father the king Gauser wants him to become a fighting machine, he has only one friend Karl the wolf. Kevin fights with his fists and is able to deal with high attack damage. As he is from the beastmen clan, Kevin is able to transform into a beast at night.

Level 38 (Monk) – Divine Fist or Warrior Monk.
Level 38 (Brawler) – Enlightened or Fatal Fist.
Charlotte
She is the granddaughter of Wendel’s Priest Of Light. She is the only character whose starting intro will be different from other characters. While other characters will be told to seek Priest of Light, Charlotte’s grandfather will sense some evil spirit in nearby castle City Jadd.
Charlotte is a healer and deals magic damage to enemies with her weapons Fails. While later in-game she can cast light elemental magic and add an elemental attribute to weapons, but her dark classes will give her the power to summon.

Level 38 (Priestess) – High Cleric or Sage.
Level 38 (Enchantress) – Necromancer or Warlock.
Hawkeye
He comes from the desert fortress of Nevarl, home of the guild of thieves. He has the highest agility and maximum luck that helps in dodging enemies and in opening trapped treasure chests. His primary weapons are a dagger that is unique in nature and deals double damage.

Level 38 (Ranger) – Nomad or Rouge.
Level 38 (Ninja) – Ninja Master or Night Blade.
Riesz
She is the young princess of the mountainous kingdom of Laurent. She is the most well-balanced character in the game. All her stats are above average compared to other characters.
Reisz can manipulate your companion or main character stats after changing her class. Her light class will increase your ally stats while dark class reduces enemy stats. Later in the game she also learns the summoning spell.

Trails Of Mana Companion
In this game besides choosing the main character out of these six characters, you get to choose two companions who will help you out during your journey.
After choosing the main character, you need to select two companions out of 5 so below are a few combinations of main character and companion that you can try it out. These are the mixture of high attack power, long-range attack, healing, and magic damage.
Duran with Angela & Charlotte
Duran with Riesz & Charlotte
The combination of Duran and Angela will be the best as they fill each other stats in which they lack the most. For example, Duran has low Intellect and Spirit but high Strength, and Stamina and Angela have high Intellect and spirit but low strength and stamina.
Note: So you can check out which stats your main character has least and choose your companion accordingly. We suggest you get one healer as your companion which will help in your quest and you can easily overpower your enemies.
