How To Learn And Unlock New Skills In Final Fantasy 7 Remake
To learn and unlock new skills, you will need to collect every type of Materia scattered around the map. Once you have found one, you can use your Options button to select Materia and Equipment. You can easily swap Materia from any piece of equipment and weapon to swap active Skills. Each active skills require MP and you can’t insert Materia when there is no slot available in the gear.
As shown in the image, it is a low-quality gear that was found at the beginning while completing the mission in Sector-08. It contains one slot where you can equip your Materia. The Purple Materia contains passive skills such as increase your overall HP or increase your Deadly Dodge. The Green Materia is your Active Skill which you can equip and use during battle. You will need to collect various types of Materia such as Red, Yellow, Purple, Green, and Blue colored ones that have been mentioned below the description.
- Red Materia is used to Summon Character that aids you in battle.
- Yellow Materia is used to unlock party or solo commands such as Pray, Chakra, etc.
- Purple Materia is used to increase the passive stats and attributes of your character.
- Green Materia is used to unlock and equip magic skills that can be used in battle.
- Blue Materia is used to link with other Materia to maximize and provide new effects.
These Materia are your skills which you can invoke during battle when you have equipped those in an open slot of your weapon and gears. So collect all these Materia by completing specific Intels, Mission, purchasing and collecting.
