Ancestors The Humankind Odyssey is the journey of hominids from 10 million BC in Africa to become humans. In this journey, you will go through various evolution, discover new species, foods, tools, and learn new techniques. One of the most important aspects of evolution is to give births and continue your lineage. In this post of Ancestors The Humankind Odyssey, I will show you how to mate, groom and give birth.

To mate in this game, you have to go near one of the hominid and press the Y button to analyze. While analyzing, you have to check whether the hominid is of the opposite sex and is fertile.
Once you have checked both of these characteristics, you can now press B to start grooming the hominid. Press and hold the B button to start grooming and as soon as you hear a “Click” sound, leave the B button.
If you have successfully left the B button, you will see a grooming bar on your game screen and once the bar is full, you will form a couple with the hominid.
Once you have formed the couple, go to the sleeping spot and lie down. Then you will get an option to call your mate by pressing B. Keep holding B till you make your mate pregnant. Once the hominid becomes pregnant, you can now give birth to the baby and the year will fast forward 15 months.
Why Can’t You Mate?
Mating is quite easy in the game and you can form a couple with other hominids using a single hominid. You can give birth twice with a single fertile female and if you cannot see the fertile icon while analyzing the female hominid, then you can’t mate with them even if you from a couple by grooming.
Mating between family members in this game is not possible. So you need to recruit other hominids by solving their problem if you don’t have enough adults in your clan or they have died. Before evolving or reinforcing your lineage, you need to have at least one child in your clan, so that your lineage doesn’t cease to exist.
