In Ancestors The Humankind Odyssey, while starting your journey at the beginning of the game, your species will be at the bottom of the food chain. This means, most of the other species will be unknown to you which you have to discover. But make sure not to get into direct contact with any big predator. If you encounter any big animal like tiger or crocodile at the beginning of the game, your dopamine level will decrease rapidly and you will enter into the fear state.
To conquer your fear and increase your dopamine level, you need to discover new items, sense your surroundings and after that, a blueish white light will shine in your screen. Go to that shining light and you will get an option to conquer your fear. Once you have conquered your fear, you can freely roam that area and discover other items and species.

To make weapons in this game, you need to collect dead branches and alter them to make stick. After crafting the stick, you need to alter them with any type of rocks. Note that different rocks have different alteration speed. Once you have altered the stick with a rock, you will get a sharp stick which can be used as a weapon to kill other animals and species.

Attacking any other species in this game is basically you defending yourself with the help of a sharp stick. If you have a sharp stick in your hand while dogging the enemy, you will counter attack with the sharp stick. In the beginning, you will have difficulties in dodging at the perfect time but with successful dodges, you will gain neuronal energy and level up your attack skill.
To perfectly dodge an attack from other species wait for the enemy to pounce on you and then you will hear the “Click” sound. As soon as you hear the sound move the left analog stick and press A. Upon successful dodging, you will hit the enemy with the spear.
If your attack neuron level is high, you can kill the enemy with 1-2 counter attack else you need to counter-attack them 4-5 times in order to kill them. Make sure to have sufficient sharp stick whenever you are going to explore a new area.
How To Defend Clan
While getting attack by a species stronger than your clan will cause fear among all the members of your clan. At one point when I was getting attacked by the crocodile for a few seconds, my clan members are holding its mouth and tail in order for me to escape. So even if the enemy is stronger than you, you can give a sharp stick to all your clan members and intimidate whenever you get attacked.
Intimidating your enemy doesn’t work always if the enemy is bigger than you. With discovering new items, increasing your neural network and upgrading your species, you can move up the food chain by intimidating other animals. To intimidate other enemies, press and hold the B button.
In the beginning, you can scare small snakes, boars, and other weak animals but as you evolve intimidating stronger enemy won’t be harder. And if your dopamine level keeps on decreasing while intimidating, you need to stop and lure the enemy to any other predator and watch them kill each other.
