Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey is a third-person survival game developed by Panache Digital Games. The game is based is on the evolution of humankind starting from 10 million BC where you will start your journey as an ape and try to survive by constantly adapting to your environment. As you constantly evolve and learn new things, these are passed on to your descendants.
Crafting new items and making discovery is the most essential part of this game. Learning new techniques will increase the neurons and helps you unlock skills. You can start crafting or altering object once you unlock the motor skills and is able to hold two separate objects on both hands. The item that you have in your left hand will be altered by using the item of your right hand. Below there are some of the basic items lists to help you discover at the beginning of the game.

Honey
To get honey, alter the grass to get Stem. Then dip the stem into the beehive to discover honey.
Basalt Chopper
Pick up a Basalt rock in your left hand and a rock on the right hand and then press LB to alter the Basalt rock. After successful alteration, you will achieve the Basalt Chopper.
Natal Grass Cycad’s Stem
Alter the Natal grass with your bare hand to discover the natal grass cycad’s stem.
Branch Barrier
Collect all the dead branches and pile them up together in one place. After that stand near to that pile and you will see a construct option by pressing the Y button. Once you finish the construction you will discover the Branch Barrier
Aloe Sap
Alter the aloe leaves with your bare hand to get aloe sap.
Cracked Eggs
You can find any bird egg in the nest on top of some tress or you can find some snake eggs near the location of the snakes. Use any type of rock to alter the eggs and you will discover the cracked egg.
Cracked Coco
You can find the coconut tree near the swamp area. You can either shake the tree so that the coconut will fall or you can climb up the tree and pluck them. After that hold the coconut on your left and a rock on the right hand. Press LB to alter the coconut and after successful alteration, you will get Cracked Coco.
Granite Grinder
Pick up a Granite rock in your left hand and a rock on the right hand and then press LB to alter the Basalt rock. After successful alteration, you will achieve the Granite Grinder.
Obsidian Scraper
Pick up an Obsidian rock in your left hand and a rock on the right hand and then press LB to alter the Basalt rock. After successful alteration, you will achieve the Obsidian Scraper.
Turmeric Paste
First you need to discover the African turmeric and then alter them with the Granite Grinder to discover the turmeric paste.
Sleep Spot
Pluck the grasses and pile them up in one place. After that stand near to that pile and you will get a construct option. After constrution you will discover how to make sleep spot.
Grinded Khat
It is used to heal broken bones and you can obtain it by grinding the khat with Obsidian Scraper.
Horsetail Leaves
Horsetail can be found at the beginning of the game, altering them with your bare hands will turn them into horsetail leaves.
Horsetail Paste
To discover horsetail paste, you need to alter the horsetail leaves with the help of the granite grinder.
