Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey – Find Baby Monkey And Comfort It
Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey is a third-person survival game developed by Panache Digital Games. The game is based is on the evolution of humankind starting from 10 million BC where you will start your journey as an ape and try to survive by constantly adapting to your environment. As you constantly evolve and learn new things, these are passed on to your descendants.
The game doesn’t spoon-feed you from the beginning but rather challenge your skills to survive. At the beginning of the game, you will be playing as the baby monkey who has to find a safe hiding place. You can either choose to hide in a safe place and wait for an adult to rescue you or you can find your way back to the clan.
But remember finding your way back to the clan can be tough, you can use your intelligence to locate the diamond box and focus on it to find your way back to the clan. If you successfully find you way back to the clan as the baby monkey, you will be continuing the rest of the journey using the baby monkey else if you choose to hide, you will be assigned an adult.
I suggest you hide in a safe place and start the game playing as an adult because the baby monkey can get easily frightened and will be at the bottom of the food chain. It will take some time for the baby to grow as an adult and the game will become tougher if you are new to survival games.
Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey Locate The Baby Monkey
There is no fixed location of the baby monkey, rather you can locate it at the same position where you hide at the starting of the game. When you are assigned an adult to locate the baby monkey, you can hear some faint shriek.
Press X to start sensing and then B to hear your surrounding noises. You can then see a variety of white rings but you need to focus on the yellow rings. Sometimes the yellow rings can lead you to other animals, that why you need to find the yellow ring that is being originated from the faint shrieks.
If you are not able to locate the exact yellow rings, try to increase your headphone volume and follow the sound of the faint shriek.
How To Comfort The Baby Monkey
After locating the baby monkey, you need to go near it and press B to start comforting the baby. After pressing the B button you can see the comfort bar at the top of the game screen. Sometimes while pressing B the comfort bar may go down, so you shouldn’t spam the B button.
Just press the B button once and wait for sometime before again pressing B. Both the adult and baby monkey need to have a conversation in order to calm the baby monkey. So if you keep pressing B continuously the comfort meter will not increase. You need to press once to talk to the baby monkey, then hear the baby monkey out and you can press B again. Using this method you can comfort the baby monkey.
