How To Colonize Islands And Buy Islands From Other Players In Anno 1800
While progressing the game you will be able to expand your territory by claiming, conquering, and buying new islands.
So below you will find a guide on how to colonize new free islands and also buy islands from other players.
How To Colonize New Free Islands
To colonize an island, first, you will need to find a suitable piece of land which you want under your command. you can check if the island has necessary resources or not by looking at it just above the minimap.
Once you find the resources you want to get, check if it owned by any other player. if it is owned you need can either fight to get it or just buy it.
If the island is free/unclaimed then just select any ship, move it toward the island and build a port. once you do it you will be able to send resources and citizens to the new island to build new towns.
This way you will be able to gain new land to expand your territory and gain additional resources.
How To Buy Islands From Other Players
If the island you want to get is owned by another player and you do not want to get into a military battle. then you can just buy it from the other player.
To buy it just select the island and you will be able to see by whom the island is owned. next, to the name you will find an icon, click it and you will find a new screen.
Here you will be able to see the piece of lands belonging to owners. now it’s up to you if you want to buy a piece of land or the whole island.
