Solution Of The Chess Plug Puzzle In Monitor Room In Resident Evil 2 Remake 2019
Throughout your game progression, you will need to solve different types of puzzles to unlock new weapons, get ammo, new items, and progress through the story.
The Chess Plugs puzzles in the Monitor room will be one of the many puzzles you need to solve to progress through the story. here you will need to get the missing chess plugs and also place them in the correct order.
So in this guide, you will learn how to get the three missing plugs and the solution on how to get solve the puzzle and open the door in Resident Evil 2 Remake.
Finding The Three Missing Chess Plugs
Location Of Queen And King Plug – to get these two pieces you will need to go Supplies storage room located in Lower Sewers. to get there you will need to get the T-shaped valve handle which can found from the Treatment Pool Room.
After getting the T shaped valve handle, use it on the floodgate to get to the bottom waterway. proceed through the bottom waterway and you will arrive at Supplies Storage room.

Step #1 – you need to take the Queen chess plug and put it in the door on the right side.
Step #2 – Then go upstairs, get King plug and put it in the door to armory to get the Weapon. now take out the King chess plug and also take out the queen chess plug.
Step #3 – Put the Queen chess plug in its original position and place the king chess plug on the side from where you came.
Step #4 – After this take out the Queen Chess plug and then take out King chess plug. now you should be at the beginning of the storage room with two chess pieces with you.
Location Of Rook Chess Plug
To get this chess piece open the floodgate present at the Lower waterway in the Lower Sewers to the workroom lift. then take the lift to the workroom, exit the workroom. outside the room, you will find the Rook chess plug in the Wall socket. collect it and go to the Monitor room.
Chess Plug Sockets Puzzle in Monitor Puzzle
Once you have obtained the King Chess plug, Queen Chess plug, and Rook chess plug. you will be able to solve the Monitor room puzzle.
*Important note – the first piece on a particular side of the wall means it should the farthest piece from the bench with the light. and the side of the wall refers to side while you are standing in front of the bench with the light.
Solution for Scenario A – On the left wall = Bishop, Rook, Knight and Right wall = Pawn, Queen, King
Solution for Scenario B – On the left wall = Queen, Bishop, King and the right wall = Pawn, Rook, Knight
Once you completed all the steps the U-Area door will open and you will be able to progress through the game.
