Call Of Duty Black Ops 4 – Unlock Savage Impaler In Dead Of The Night
Call Of Duty Black Ops 4 has finally released their new zombie map Dead Of The Night. it will be the fifth zombie map in COD Bo4 and the twenty-ninth map overall.
The new map is set in Alistar Rhodes mansion in England and features a cast of new characters by Developer Treyarch and Publisher Activision for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
Unlock Savage Impaler In Dead Of The Night In Call Of Duty Black Ops 4
In the new zombie map, you will be able to unlock and craft new weapons, armor, secrets, Pack-a-punch and more.
The Savage Impaler crossbow is the new wonder weapon for the Dead Of The Night map. it looks like a mechanical crossbow and is very powerful. but getting it can be confusing and time taking.
So in this guide, you will learn about all the task you need to complete to unlock Savage Impaler crossbow in Call Of Duty Black Ops 4.
Extinguish Six Candles
To begin your quest to get the Savage Impaler crossbow. first, you will need to extinguish six candles which are scattered across the map of Dead Of The Night.
Below you will find the location of all six candles. once you find them just knife them and the candle’s fire will extinguish.
Candle Location #1 – in Master Bedroom, next to the bed.
Candle Location #2 – in the Music room. on top of a table.
Candle Location #3 – in East Gallery, on top of a table.
Candle Location #4 – in the Study room, on top of a table.
Candle Location #5 – in East Hallway, on top of a table located before painting.
Candle Location #6 – in the Wine cellar, next to some Barrel.
Drink From The GraveStone
once you have extinguished all six candles. go to the Forest. just note that to enter the Forest you will need to unlock Pack-a-Punch which a very tedious process.
To unlock Pack-a-Punch area you will need to complete three challenges and acquire three Tuning forks and then interact with the red messy blob located in front of the house.

After Entering the Forest you need to move to left side of this area and look for a gravestone like structure with circle patterns. this particular stone has smoke coming out from the bottom of it.
Interact with this stone and your character will drink from it which will make your screen blurry.
Escort The Ghost
After drinking from the stone go back to the house and look for a ghost. you need to do it before the blurry effect wears off so be quick.
The location of the ghost is not fixed but you can find it in some of the location mentioned below. just note that the ghost makes some sound so follow it.
- Music Room
- Entrance Hall
- Dying Hall
- Master Bedroom
If while escorting the ghost the blurry effect wears off then you need to return to the stone and drink from it again.
Scoring Kills For Ritual
Escorting the ghost will lead you to the Mausoleum. here you will need to kill zombies with certain weapons. so that they drop the purple items.
You can only get these purple items from glowing zombies only if you kill them with the correct items in the correct order. you can find the order of the kills below.
- Regular weapon kills
- Equipment kills
- specialist kills
- Shield Kills
Doing the above correctly should get you four glowy purple items. now with the four items enter the center part of Mausoleum and place the purple items on the four ritual circle.
After placing them start killing zombies inside the Mausoleum. you need to keep killing them until all the white signs turn blue. you need to be quick in getting the kills otherwise the circle goes back to white.
Collect The Savage Impaler
Once all the white signs on the ground turn blue. exit the Mausoleum and go down the stairs and on the right side, you will find a big rectangle tomb. press square on it and it will reveal an underground room.
Enter the tomb and the center of this area you will find the Savage Impaler crossbow.
