Red Dead Redemption 2 – Location Of All The Weapons
Red Dead Redemption 2 will the latest game from Rockstar Games and also will be the third entry in the Red Dead franchise. the story of the game will be a prequel to 2010’s RDR 1 and will follow the outlaw, Arthur Morgan.
The latest game features a map which is bigger than GTA 5 and contains gameplay of over 100 hours. it also features both single player and online multiplayer where you can fight other players from around the world.
Location Of All The Weapons In Red Dead Redemption 2
While progressing through the story of the game you will be able to collect many different types of weapons like pistols, rifles, repeaters, snipers and more.
There are a total of 59 different weapons present in the game and if you are aiming to get 100% achievement then you will need to get 48 of them.
So below you will find a guide where you can find the location of all the weapons and how to get to them in Red Dead Redemption 2.
Bow
Bow – you will receive this weapon automatically from the game.
Melee Weapons
Hunting Knife – you will receive if from the beginning of the game.
Butcher Hatchet – can be bought from any merchant after completing chapter 5.
Machete – can be bought from any merchant after completing chapter 5.
War Hatchet – can be bought from any merchant after completing chapter 5.
Broken Pirate Sword – you need to go to a small island present south from Saint-Denis Bridge. there you will find a shipwreck and the weapon.
Civil War Knife – you need to go to the basement of Fort Brennand located Southwest from Van Horn Trading.
Double Edged Hatchet – can be found on a tree stump present northwest from Wallace Station. the station itself is present on the western side of the map.
Horn Handle Knife – you need to go to Hanging Dog Ranch present in western part of the map. the ranch is just above the little Creek River. now from the ranch go north-west and you will find the weapon on a dead bear.
Jaw Bone Knife – you will receive this weapon once you find all the 30 dinosaur bones.
Meat cleaver – Can be found on the tree stump present on the southern part of the moonstone pond. the pond itself is present in the northern part of the map just below Grizzlies East.
Rusty Double Edged Hatchet – you need to go to Annesburg present on the northeast side of the map. once here go to the coal mine and from there head north you need to look for tree stump/tree base the weapon is on it.
Rusty Hunter Throwing Hatchet – can be found on a tree stump near a hut. the hut itself is located south-east from O’Creagh’s Run and northwest from the Elysian pool.
Stone War Hatchet – can be obtained only if you have played GTA online and have completed certain requirement(will be updated)
Viking Hatchet – can be found in a grave northeast from beaver hollow. the beaver hollow is located west from Annesberg.
Wide Knife – you need to go to Mount Shann present in the western side of the map. from Shann go further west until you reach the Beryls Dream Mine. you will find the knife on a corpse.
Pistols
Volcanic Pistol – can be bought from any merchant after completing Chapter 1.
Half Automatic Pistol – can be bought from any merchant after completing Chapter 4.
Mauser Pistol – can be bought from any merchant after completing chapter 5.
Midnight’s Pistol – you need to defeat the Legendary Gunslinger Billy Midnight and then pick it up from him.
Repeaters
Carbine Repeater – you will receive this weapon during the playthrough of chapter 1.
Lancaster Repeater – you will receive it automatically during Chapter 2.
Litchfield Repeater – you will receive it automatically during chapter 6.
Revolvers In Red Dead Redemption 2
Cattleman Revolver – you get it from the beginning of the game.
Double Action Revolver – Can be bought from any Merchant after completing Chapter 2
Schofield Revolver – can be bought from any merchant after completing chapter 2. alternatively you can also find it in a weapon case robbery of a drug store in Valentine.
Algernon’s Revolver – the reward for completing the side quest from Algernon Wasp. you can find him in the greenhouse in the backyard of a blue house in the north of Saint-Denis during Chapter 4.
Otis Miller’s Revolver – you can find it hidden in a chest present north of Cholla Springs.
Flaco’s Revolver – You need to defeat the Legendary Gunslinger Flaco Hernandez and then pick it up from him.
Granger’s Revolver – you need to defeat the Legendary Gunslinger Emmet Granger and then pick it up from him.
Calloway’s Revolver – At the end of the Legendary Gunslingers Questline you will be able him as a dueling partner. you need to select him otherwise you won’t get the gun.
Micah’s Revolver – Once the Epilogue 2 is completed, return to Mount Hagen and pick it from the frozen corpse.
Rifles
Varmint Rifle – can be bought from any merchant after completing chapter 1.
Springfield Rifle – can be bought from any merchant after completing chapter 1.
Bolt Action Rifle – you will receive this weapon once you complete Chapter 3.
Shotgun
Double Barreled Shotgun – can be bought from any merchant.
Sawed-Off Shotgun – you will receive this weapon once you complete chapter 1.
Pump Action Shotgun – can be bought from any merchant after completing chapter 2.
Rare Shotgun – during chapter 2, you will need to go north from Annesburg and you will arrive at a hut. he is aggressive and will shoot at you if you approach him. you need to defeat him and then take the weapon.
Half automatic Shotgun – can be bought from any merchant after completing chapter 4.
Repeater Shotgun – can be bought from any merchant after completing chapter 6.
Sniper Rifles In Red Dead Redemption 2
Rolling Block Rifles – can be bought from any merchant after completing chapter 2.
Rare Rolling Block Rifle – during chapter 3, you will be getting shot by a sniper present in a shed. you need to defeat him and then take the weapon.
Carcano Rifle – can be bought from any merchant after completing the “Goodbye, Dear Friend” mission in Chapter 6.
Throwable Weapons
Throwing Knife – you will receive this weapon automatically from the game.
Dynamite – you will receive it automatically during chapter 1.
Tomahawk – can be bought from any merchant after completing chapter 2.
Incendiary – can be bought from any merchant after completing chapter 3.
Ancient Tomahawk – you will need to go east of Wapiti Indian Reservoir and then look for a broken target. it will be stuck on it.
