How To Fix Performance and High GPU Usage In Pathfinder: Kingmaker
There have been many reports that the game is having FPS and lag issues which is making the game unplayable.
Although different systems have different configuration and hardware. this particular issue with the game seems to be happening to players in almost all types of systems both in the low and high ends.
Cause Of The Issue – it is happening most probably because the game by default comes with MSAA set to 4X and the MSAA technique is pretty old which makes it inefficient with modern games and systems.
MSAA uses the Supersampling method for Antialiasing which basically increases the number of pixels by a multiplier of whatever setting you have, it can be 2X, 4X or 8X.
As it is already mentioned that it is by default set to 4X, which means it forcing the graphics card to render the visual in 4X pixels which is putting lots of load on the GPU and the System.
