SCUM – Guide On Basic Interface And What do They Mean
Publisher Devolver Digital and Developer Gamepires, Croteam have released their new game SCUM on steam early access. it is a third person survival simulation game where players play as Prisoner who has been released on a deadly island to survive.
You as a player need to gather resources and other materials to craft weapons and items to survive the island and also protect yourself from other prisoners and threats.
Guide On Basic Interface And What do They Mean In SCUM
Once you are inside the game you will be able to see your character with many different indicators and status which are not very self-explanatory.
So below you will find a guide which will explain to you what that interface means and how to use them effectively.
Body Indicator – On the left side of the screen you will see a human body with three indicators on its side. these indicators represent Health, Stamina, Energy, and Hydration which you need to manage to survive the island.
Inventory Items – on the bottom of the screen you will be able to see a box which represents the item which you are bound in your inventory.
Fame indicator – on the top right corner of the screen you will be able to see the fame status. you can gain points by doing pretty much anything on the island. these points can be used to revive your character and other purposes.
Inventory Menu/Tab
Vincinty Tab – on the left side of the inventory menu you can see items which present around you and you can also see if there is an item that has something stashed in it.
Inventory Tab – on the right side of the vicinity tab you will able to see all items that have storage space and are present in it.
Parameters/Numbers – just beside the items in your inventory you will be able to see a red number which means warmth and green number which mean wetness. you will also be able to see the weight it adds to your body.
Crafting Menu/Tab
Crafting Recipe – you will find this section on the left side of the menu and here you will be able to see all the recipes. once you have the selected an item that you want to craft or want to see the necessary ingredients and tools you need for the item it will appear in the “Crafting Recipe” window.
The Green Cog indicates the ingredients you need and the white hammer indicates the tools you need to craft the item.
Crafting List – you will find this section on the right side of the menu and you will see several lists of all craftable items in the SCUM.
- The red icon – means it’s an item that you can craft but have no ingredients to make it.
- The yellow icon – means it is a craftable item that you have some ingredients for
- The grey icon – means you do not have the skill high enough to craft the item
- Normal item – means you that you can craft the item.
Metabolism Menu/Tab
ICU Monitor – on the top left side of this menu you will be able to see the ICU monitor of your character. you can track his heart rate, temperature, oxygen levels and more.
Body Performance – on the lower left side of the menu you will be able to see how your body is performing and its current state and you can also keep track of any possible diseases.
Nutrition – on the top right side of the menu you will be able to track all nutrition and how it is affecting your character.
Digestion – on the lower right side you will be able to track the bowel movements of your character.
Event Tab
Current and Upcoming event – on the top left side of this menu you will be able to see information about current and upcoming PvP events.
Leader Board Status on a server – on the top right side you will be able to see events and fame points.
