Guide On How To Upgrade Weapons And Add Buffs In Vampyr

As Dr. Reid players will face many different enemies with different traits. some enemies are vulnerable to blood-based attacks and some vulnerable to gun-based attacks.

At the beginning of the game your melee weapons and guns will be able to deal with some enemies but as you progress into the game they will deal less damage and will become less effective that’s when you need to upgrade them.

To upgrade them head towards the nearest Hideout if you don’t know how to get there just open the map and look for the hammer and feather icon on the map. when you get inside the hideout look for the workbench, get near it and interact with it.

In this workbench, players can break down different items into small components, create serums and also upgrade melee weapons and guns.

Once you are in the workbench highlight any weapon which you want to upgrade. you will be able to see different upgradeable levels and selectable effects/buffs. you will also be able to see a description explaining everything about the weapon.

To upgrade a weapon you must have all the correct components. if you don’t have them you can break down items into small components in workbench, collect them by looting or simply buy them from a merchant.

Once you have upgraded your desired weapon you can select what buff you want to apply to it. the good thing about the buffs is that if you don’t like it you can just change it to an alternative buff by collecting the necessary components for it.
