Guide On How To Level Up Mesmerize Skill In Vampyr
In 1918 London you as Dr. Jonathan Reid need to use their new found skills and abilities to survive the new dangerous world.
One of the skills which Dr. Reid has is the Mesmerize skill which can be used on a citizen to lure them into a dark place and finally embrace them to drain their lifeforce and earn valuable experience points to unlock and upgrade skills.
To Embrace higher level citizen you would need high level mesmerize, this will give you higher XP which is a pretty good thing. but the only problem with the Mesmerize skill is that it cannot be leveled up whenever you want and works very differently from other unlockable/upgradeable skills.
To upgrade Mesmerize you will need to play through the main quest and you will eventually gain level from it. this means no amount of XP point will work for this particular skill and it also changes the gameplay approach for the players. below you will find which checkpoint you need to reach to unlock increase the level.

- Level 2: In Chapter 2 settle the Dorothy Crane situation.
- Level 3: In Chapter 3 settle the Sean Hamption situation.

For the mesmerize skills to work on the citizen. Dr. Reid mesmerize level needs to be equal or higher than the victim’s mesmerize level. if you are able to mesmerize someone you will see several options. in some, you can engage in specific dialogue to get more information or just lure them out to drain their blood and earn XP.
But if you go on a killing spree you will basically change the world around and it would affect the game. in some place the characters will become inaccessible and also the merchants will stop stocking important goods.
So you should be careful with your decisions. one good strategy is to play the main quests and get high level on Mesmerize. then select an area and complete all investigations and gather all hints. this way you will ensure that the blood quality is the highest which will give you maximum possible XP. keep a balance between killing and completing quests and you will be good.
