Important things to know before you talk in voice chat – when a player displays an obscure Gamertag over their character then it means either the player does not have microphone enabled or is muted.

On Xbox If a chat bubble is displayed with a Gamertag over a character but has a slash through the symbol then it means that the player is speaking in Xbox party chat, you have blocked them or have muted them.

In Game Voice Chat – You can use the in-game voice chat option to talk to your teammates. to access it press the Escape Key, then click on settings, under the setting tabs select the audio settings from here you can configure different options like Crew Chat Volume to manage every one volume and the Proximity Chat Volume to manage the distance volume.

You can also use Push to talk option which lets you talk only when you press a preset key. this option is helpful for people who only want to let the team hear them when they want. it also comes in handy when you have a full party and everyone is talking, using push to talk in this situation will help you communicate clearly.

Xbox Party Voice Chat – Xbox app offers players to use voice chat, the players can set up a party and invite other members but there is a known bug where if a player joins a party late, they are not added to voice comm.

The resolve this issue ensure that your Mic is not muted and then reconnect the device. furthermore also change the settings for Privacy and Online Safety from Xbox settings.

Use Third-Party Voice Chat Apps –  if none of the above options works then you can use third-party apps like Discord and Curse which are very good. both of them have a good interface and are easy to set up.
