Rumor: Atlus Games Maybe Working On The Next Catherine Sequel

The popular Japanese video game company developer, publisher, and distributor Atlus is well known for its action and mystery puzzle games like Persona, Megami Tensei, and Etrain Odyssey. its most recent release was Persona 5  and the upcoming game is Shin Megami Tensei 5 which will be coming exclusively to Nintendo Switch.

But according to rumor, it is being speculated that the apart from Shin Megami Tensei 5 it is also working on a new game from the PS3 Era possibly Catherine.

Gematsu is reporting that Ryokutya2089, an insider who usually leaks contents from new issues of Weekly Famitsu and Dengeki PlayStation has released a new post where he claims that he has heard that Atlus is working on a new title.

The rumored title does not have a number which indicates that it might be a full new version or possibly an HD remaster and it also does not have downloadable content. the title has apparently been teased months ago and might be announced towards the end of 2017.

In August 2017 Atlus hosted a golden employment special for it new studio zero. in the video 30 min video they talk about the studio but towards the end, they might have hinted of a new Catherine. you can watch the video here.

While talking to 4Gamer.net Atlus confirmed that studio zero is working on Project Re Fantasy and another unnamed project.

All the clues are hinting that we might be getting a complete new Catherine game or a remastered version of it. but as it is still a rumor take the information with a pinch of salt as it might be false.
