Germany Will Finally Receive The Uncensored Version Of Orange Box

Germany has always been very strict about the games they allow in their country throughout the 20s they have made sure that the games do not depict any type of sexuality or gore in any form. but with time their attitude towards games have improved.

Slowly Germany has been removing the restriction on some of the games one of those games whose restriction has been removed is Valve’s Orange Box. gamers from Germany can now purchase the bundled game and receive the uncensored international version.

For people who don’t know what is Orange Box? it is a bundled game from the valve which contains three games Half-Life 2, Team Fortress 2 and Portal and believe it or not all these games received some sort of censorship for the German region. you can check out the video from Censored Gaming to know more about it in details.

The above video details how Half-Life 2 was censored in Germany when it first came out early 2004. killing the NPCs in international version displayed blood and a body but in the German version the NPC simply sat down and nod their nod.

When Orange box game came out it too received several changes like the color of blood was toned down from red to grey in Half-life and Team Fortress 2 and many more.

Currently popular games like Counter-Strike, Counter-Strike: Condition Zero and Team Fortress classic and Half-life 1: source has also been updated and any new purchase from Germany will get them the international version. for people who already own these games but now want the uncensored one don’t worry Valve is working on a new patch to remove all the censorship.

Recently Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus was censored and Valkyrie Drive: Bhikkhuni was removed from the German steam store. but Its still a pretty good news for German Gamers as it one of the most strict region when it comes to video games and it seems the governing bodies are changing their attitude towards the content of the game
